Carlo's Trattoria in Guildford

Wonderful popular Italian restaurant. High quality fresh food, generous portions, lovely staff. We came on a very busy Friday night, booking is advised. Everything we had was delicious, and the panna cotta was the best I've ever had (and I've had a lot!)

Such wonderful, flavoursome food and great service! The only improvement I would ask for is more vegetarian and vegan options if possible please!

My fiancé and i had a lovely dinner at Carlo's. We had Jay as our sever and he knew the menu very well and his recommendations were spot on. The food was delicious and the wine selections were very good. The service was brilliant and we did not wait long in between courses. Absolutely would love to dine here again.

Jay gave us a warm welcome to a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Great food and variety. Drinks quite pricey.

Have been coming for many years and Carlo's has never once let us down. Nothing short of the best food, served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with everyone making you feel at ease. As many mention, the specials are amazing, so well worth considering. Carlo is always happy to talk through the dishes, offering recommendations. There's an decent vegetarian selection alongside a range of meat, fish, and seafood options, and every dish is absolutely delicious. In short it's extremely good value for the quality of food, relaxed and friendly service, and very pleasant ambience, and I heartily recommend it.

Lovely meal, lobster was delicious. Bottle red wine very expensive. Waiters were friendly when arrived but no smiles on way out when we took the service charge off the bill which was £11.95!! We sat right by the kitchen so a few steps to our service. Not going again to pricey.

Lovely place. Was very busy although we have still been in covid regulations.Great atmosphere, family friendly and also great for a couples too (would recommend for a romantic dinner). We was there a Friday evening it was noisy and busy which is part of the charm. I do recommend to book for a table as it was very busy.The food is very tasty but not cheap. Large selection of pasta dishes and vines.Waiters are all very kind and helpful. I really liked that the chef came out with some dishes and added parmesan or pepper himself made you feel being looked after like a family.
