Franco Manca Guildford in Guildford

The food was absolutely beautiful!We had beers, starters, mains, sides and extras and it only come to just over £60 for the 2 of us to pig out. Very affordable for the portion sizes.The restaurant is beautiful inside, very clean and well decorated.The only reason I've not given 5 stars today is because we were sat down by a waiter and then completely forgotten about to the point where we were about to get up and leave. It wasn't very busy, there must have only been another 3 tables in at the time.We gave them benefit of the doubt as the food came out very quickly after finally being able to order but we were let down again when we asked for the bill and was once more completely forgotten about. We had to ask a second waiter after such a long time. Waiting times like this would be understandable if the place was full, but as it was very quiet, it just felt slightly neglectful.

Not sure what happened on this visit (saturday 25th June) but the pizza base was terrible. It was squidgy, too thick and like under cooked dough. Looking around most the other customers seemed dissatisfied too. Maybe the ovens weren't hot enough and/or the chef that day didnt know what he/she was doing.Service was poor too. A real pity as usually the Franco Manca brand delivers decent pizza.

I feel really sorry to leave this review, as no 4 pizza from the menu is my favorite pizza at any place in the country. However this particular restaurant in Guildford needs to improve massively in their staff training. Slow service, always you have to chase them asking something, seems they are missing basic qualities. Particularly on my visit today, the pizza came after 35 minutes cold in the plate . We do the effort to go at their place in order to enjoy a hot pizza out of the oven . For a cold pizza I could order one home .

I love the pizzas here, but we ordered via deliveroo and were told 25-30 minutes. For the next hour and a half, that 'estimate' updated continually to remain a constant 20-ish minutes away, until by the time they arrived, it was a full two hours after we'd placed our order. I appreciate they're using a third party integration here, but the restaurant is providing the estimate, and if they can't meet it, they shouldn't be accepting the order (with upfront payment) in the first place. We definitely won't be ordering delivery again.

Service was slow - had to wait 40 mins just to get the starter. When the food finally arrived, both pizzas were undercooked and unappetising.3rd time visiting a Franco Manca chain overall and the service and quality is the same throughout.

Had a lovely dinner here, was a Saturday evening so had to wait a while for a table but was worth it! The staff were working so hard! The servers were running around and the kitchen were so fast! Will be back soon!

Food was great and staff friendly. They informed us in advance that they were busy so 30min for food Just in case we didn't want to wait. It came in 20min. Great pizza

Great pizzas and coffee! This is one of the nicest Franco Manca we've been to. Friendly staff, good service, fast, pizzas are never burnt, it's spacious and warm (nice in Winter) and the overall great value for money. We'll be back and can highly recommend.

Good pizza, made with fresh ingredients and reasonably priced. You need to register your phone number before getting a table for Covid tracing. Reasonable social distancing measures in place. Professional and friendly staff.
