We were craving some delicious Thai food and The Giggling Squid did not disappoint. The food was fresh and the flavours vibrant. The Thai melting beef was exceptionally tender and the Rising Star Red Duck Curry delicious. The Jasmine and toasted rice ice cream is also unique, delicious and 100% worth a try.I highly recommend this cosy venue in the heart of Guildford. We were also particularly impressed with the use of QR codes, both in menu’s to inform the staff of any allergies and to easily pay for our meal at the end with the handy QR codes on the tables.

Today ‘s food is really nice. I would’ve say it’s authentic Japanese food as they change the recipe to cater the people here. I particularly like their chicken katsu curry. I asked for extra source so it tastes better. The starter squid is Also deciduous. Overall, I would rate 5 out of 5 for my meal.

Bad - just bad.We were seated for 15 minutes before we ordered drinks, which we could only do because we stopped a waitress as she was walking past. We then waited a further 10 minutes to order food. When the food finally arrived it was just bad, as you can see from the picture below we couldn't finish it. Instead of asking us how our meal was, we were just given the bill. Which I suppose is good as we couldn't wait to leave.

Absolutely lovely tasting duck curry and rice. It really was amazing. Service was quick. Only negative was it was a bit cold sat near the door but everything else was 5*

Possibly the best chain of Thai restaurants in the UK. However, "chain" does not really do them justice, as the service is on par with a family run restaurant. The menu is the real draw with dishes that cannot be found in most UK Thai restaurants. Highlights are the Chubby cheek pork, Lamb Massaman curry and Salmon panang curry. The deserts and selection of wine are also top notch. Always extremely good.

We’ve been to this restaurant since five years ago. The food quality for recent year is dropping starting from COVID-19. As we are old customers we can taste the difference but for new customers they probably won’t. The food used to be really delicious and 5 out of 5. The staff service is declining as well due to new staff coining in I think. For the probe cracker source I would recommend they use a bigger sauce pot. Today the waitress forgot to bring us the sauce after serving the prawn crackers and we had to ask for it. It’s fair to say overall, now the food quality and service is 3 out of 5. Hope they can improve the food quality

Love the new cocktail menu! Really great food and service here in the centre of Guildford. We had the sharing platter starter, pork dumplings, King Prawn Pad Thai, Eton Mess, Duck Curry with Jasmine rice. I will most certainly be going back!

The first time visited here. I love the interior like flower 🌸 🌺 every where. Ceiling decorations impressive. And dish was amazing. Fast serving and friendly staff. I order somtam ( papaya salad), recommended curry with Jasmin rice. And Pad thai. The curry 🍛 was the best! 👍👍 we enjoyed time here. And I wanted to try other dishes. We paid around £42 inc one bottle of beer. 😬

This was our first visit to a Giggling Squid and we were not disappointed. The sharing platter starter was really nice, and the pickled salad on the side went really well with the main items. For mains we went for the sticky chicken and red duck curry, both of which had great flavour. Great portion sizes so we had no space for dessert! All this was topped off by some great service from Noella, who was friendly throughout which really made for a great all round experience. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

The place was just so lovely. The food and deserts are really good and on the drinks menu they have quite a varied selection of wines from various countries. I think there's pretty much something for anyone in terms of food or drinks. The staff was also very friendly and it's definitely worth it. The same experience in London (where I live) would be more expensive. An easy 10/10 and I'll go again when I pass through Guildford.
