National Trust in Guildford

A very pleasant experience for me and the family . As it was a lovely sunny day it made the time spent there even more enjoyable.

A quiet beautiful place away from the hustle and bustle of Guildford. Riverside walks take you north and south. National Trust parking is free to members. Pre-book boat rides if you want to see scenery from the water

Pleasant and relaxing place and a nice walk by the river. A very small area to park cars and £5 charge, closed and locked at 5:00 p.m. A few places to read some historical facts. There were picnic tables and seats where you could watch the world go by. The cafe was clean and had one toilet. A secondhand book stall was all that was there. No gift shop or any other shops. Disappointed that there wasn't much to do there and was so small.

Really enjoyed this a 45 minute river cruise on an all electric river boat and the fact you pay for the boat not per person is brilliant so it cost us £35 for 6 of us but it can take 10 the Gentleman who piloted the boat and gave the commentary I couldn't recommend enough a Canadian gentleman who was very knowledgeable of the area and had a genuine love and enthusiasm for the area

Really interesting historical boat trip up the river Wey into Guildford. Tearoom was nice - museums and book store were very interesting.

We had a lovely boat trip with our guide giving us lots of interesting information. Our grandchildren enjoyed the other activities. However the one thing that lets the place down is the excessive price of the food in the tea rooms. We had 5 sandwiches, 3 very small cakes, a coffee,a tea and a fizzy drink. This came to over £48. If we go back we would take a picnic.

Lovely place on the river wey! Picturesque and tranquil

Popped down here after hearing around the secondhand bookshop. It was a lovely little place, very serene. The tearoom has a couple of vegan options to have an ice cream (Jude's vanilla and salted caramel), there are a few plants on sale next to the ticket booth for boat trips, and the bookshop was far bigger than expected.

Paul was a great guide in explaining the history of the river and surrounding. He is also taking lots of questions. The cruise takes ca 45min and the boat takes 6 people. There are two 6person boats and there is a smaller one. You could either take the city route or the nature route. I recommend the city one as it has more history and to hear about. You could save the nature one to the second. You can park by the dock, where you have a cafe with restrooms. You could arrive a bit earlier and walk along the river first on your own or have a short picnic, since there are some tables sit. You could also hire kayak or paddle boards as a family, which ia alsoa great fun in calm river. A nice experience as a whole family.

Excellent place to spend a couple of hours. Good exhibits and displays, enthusiastic NT staff and volunteers. Going back again soon for a boat trip along the navigation.
