Peaslake Village Stores in Guildford

The Hurtwood Inn is Peaslake treasure. Two delicious plates of Italian home-cooked food. Porcini risotto and nettle ravioli in a sage and butter sauce. Exceptionally good, nothing more to say!

Food standards have consistently slipped over last 6 months to a year 😞 and so I feel compelled to write this review. Profiteroles used to be amazing, have been very disappointed to be served up a half thawed from frozen, mass produced tasting (and from what I recall, more expensive) version. Kids spag bowl has been spaghetti with some mince dumped on top 😖, the lasagne again has been half thawed with hardly any meat. The amazing truffle lasagne is nowhere to be seen 😢 Come on Hurtwood, pull your socks up, otherwise you’re going to lose your loyal local customers! The empty tables over the weekend speak for themselves!

Nice place, with a decent selection of drinks including local beers. Plenty of space, and the service is quick and friendly. The chairs are comfortable which I hugely appreciated after a day of walking! They also have a log burner inside, and WiFi for customers. There’s a large outdoor seating area too, which I can imagine is nice in the summer.

Had a very nice Sunday lunch at the Hurtwood Inn. Staff were very attentive and friendly.

Great place, lovely staff very welcoming, most important great beer 🍺 and a really comfortable bed.

Lovely pub in wonderful surroundings. Lunch a little on the expensive side but was excellent. Very polite and efficient staff but there weren't enough of them to cope with the numbers of customers so the chef had to help serve the food.

What a stunning restaurant!,As an ex restauranteur myself I am always checking quality and service. This is a place to recommend from the excellent waitress and Manager, to the food which was excellent with quality products. Bellissimo, grazieI will return many times.

My wife and I have always wanted to try this place out. We went in just for a drink, but when we saw the food being served up, we just had to order. We were so glad we did; it's the best pub food we've had in a long, long time. 😀

Four of us came for a meal in the bustling bar. The staff could not have been more helpful with everything. They found us a table, explained the process and brought drinks and food quickly. All the Italian food was superb but the linguini was the best ever. Delicate pasta and sauce and loads of interesting shellfish. I highly recommend the Hurtwood and will be back regularly from now.
