Pews Bar & Courtyard in Guildford

I really like this bar but after going in for a few drinks on Saturday I'm not sure how soon we'll be returning. The staff were lovely and we got a good seat for the footy but £12.50 for two pints of lager is ridiculous! I'd expect to pay that in a pub in Mayfair. I dread to think how much their wines/cocktails are. No wonder people are choosing to drink at home these days. Many pubs are simply pricing people out.

I hired the function room for a surprise birthday and everyone had an amazing time. The bar is laid back, fun and unpretentious. Thanks so much to Charlotte, Matt and the bar staff for making everything go smoothly. We had an epic night :-) I would highly recommend.

Characterful pub with nice covered and heated outside area but no food of any kind and not even nuts or crisps while beer extortionately over priced at more than £5 per pint.

I love this place, especially the courtyard area. The management are very polite and are more than happy to make a Hot Toddy if needed.

Important Info: It's over 21s only!!Reserved a table, only to arrive and be told that they would not serve us as the bar is over 21s only. This was not mentioned over the phone and is not mentioned on the homepage of their website. Hope this helps anyone else trying to find a nice pub with friends in Guildford!

The outbside bar area is a good set up for sport, and the food is nice.Unfortunately when my six friends and I ordered seven individual drinks through their app, one each, as the drinks arrived we were told by the waiting staff; "my bar staff told me to tell you, if you order again, don't order seven separate drinks".I'm left wondering which of my friends I tell not to have the drink they want...

Wow. What a rude stuff.The ladies where rude to me and my group of friends since we got there.I know it can be stressful sometimes when it’s busy but C’mon guys, for the price we pay the minimum we deserve it to be treated nice.Please please make the waitress wear some less revealing clothes… It’s quite uncomfortable seeing someone’s butt all the time.Overall it’s a lovely place to hang out apart from the stuff. ❤️

Nice place to have a drink, they've got a great set up outside especially with the current regulations. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and found us a table straight away. Good to be back and their app was easy to use to order drinks
