Nice pub but didn't stay because one of your locals made us very uncomfortable Martin was an absolute pain in the arse

Went to a private party there today. Considering Carol, (landlady), was on her own in the kitchen she did a fantastic job. The food was really good, and the staff are lovely & helpful. Would definitely recommend this pub for good food & atmosphere 🙂 I only wish I could remember Carol from school 🤣

I Live about 5 mins walk away and for the last couple years this pub has had some serious issues, with it being clientele based, rude staff and having no variation of beers. Until a couple month ago during lockdown where they’ve had new management.This pub has some serious potential. Being someone who works in a pub like this that’s known for its real ales, this place would really benefit from trying to sell there’s more but also look after them better as well. The ale is warm and taste like nettles, this could be because their not selling enough of it or it’s not being stored correctly!To me this pub could substantially well as it is a really nice pub outdoors and in, it could do with quieting down the music and playing something not so heavy. I want to make this my local every weekend instead of having to drive down the road to the Onslow arms or jovial sailor.

Another fab pizza in this local, friendly pub. Impressed with the number of locals who pooped in to meet friends for a drink and join in the quiz - not just about the food!

Carol has recently taken over the Saddlers Arms and has given the pub a lot of love. The pub has been given a refresh and there are plans for further improvements. Carol organised and hosted my birthday BBQ which was a great success. A great venue with a good selection of drinks, having Passion Fruit Martini and Espresso Martini on tap is amazing as you get the cocktail without the wait! The pub is in a good location and has a huge garden. Would highly recommend for an event or even just a quick pint! :)

Improvement needed under new management. The ? Owner was particularly rude and needs to work on his social skills. The 2 ladies were friendly but seemed somewhat overwhelmed, catering for a relatively small afternoon crowd that I feel could easily be run by 1 person if food services excluded.

Nice friendly local. I’ve not tried the food yet, but it’s on my list of things to do
