Shangri-La in Guildford

Absolutely terrible, ruined an otherwise perfect 26th wedding anniversary. We have been customers for over 5 years, but tonight the food was awful. Shredded beef was welded together in solid lumps, Lemon chicken was just raw batter inside & hardly any chicken ( totally inedible) and the lemon sauce was just pure lemon juice and water. Everything was cold and unpleasant. They have lost our business today. Save your money and shop elsewhere unless you want to be disappointed.

Was very good crispy squid was not crispy bit soggy by but was still good. Worth another visit

A return back to Shangrila and the food was as delicious as it was pre-Covid. A 15 minute turnaround from ordering and service was delivered with a smile. A very nice takeaway meal tonight and looking forward to our return.

Good food but the staff are incredibly rude.

I used to rate Shangri la as the best in Guildford now without a doubt I’d say it’s the worst. The food is just about edible depending on how hungry you are and the woman on the phone/ behind the counter is rude to the point it’s a joke…. I actually called her out on it and her reply was “go away then”. It’s a real shame cuz I’d hate to see it go to waste but I would avoid it at all cost…. Even if they start taking card

I didn't even get to order, the lady answered the phone with " hold on... " Then after a 2 minute wait in silence she said " you'll have to wait, busy!! " To which I replied don't worry and went elsewhere.As front of house she is SO rude and it's totally unnecessary. Why not employ someone to enhance your business not totally run it into the ground.Shame because this is my local takeaway, and it's not the first time the lady on the counter has been rude. A few years ago I went to pick up a takeaway.. I had just been to aldi and had a small bag of shopping, I picked up the takeaway and put the Aldi bag on the counter so I could get my wallet from my pocket, the lady behind the counter shouted at me NOT to put my bag on the counter and proceeded to knock it on the floor.Do yourself a favour and give someone more deserving your hard earned cash..

The female behind the counter was appallingly rude. I have never received such poor level of service anywhere. Other reviewers have also picked up this person. I also find very strange that in this day and age they do not accept card payments - particularly given COVID transmission risks. She rejected my small change telling me to "keep it, it's no good to me". Genuinely never experienced anything like it.This is the first time I have ordered from here but it is safe to say I will NEVER visit again. You only have once chance to make a first impression and this was awful.

The woman behind the counter is one of the most rudest people I've ever met! She was very abrupt to all the customers in front of me, just threw my order on the counter without any words. If she doesn't like English people so much then why work in this business! Food wasn't great.NEVER AGAIN!!!! Strongly recommended Mings on Aldershot Road.

Great food with reasonable price! Nice and super clean open kitchen had selection of crispy duck, chilli beef, squid with chilli, lemon chicken, beef with black bean sauce , hong kong style chicken, mushroom rice, prawn crackers, beef chow mein was tasty and the service was great.Location is great for pick up
