The Drummond in Guildford

I never normally write reviews, but I honestly felt I had to for this meal. It came quickly which was nice and looked amazing. But it wasn’t. The chicken was pink! My roast potatoes were undercooked and my Yorkshire pudding was burnt! And the gravy was just pure water. Not to mention it also said it comes with pigs in blanket(S) meaning more than one but all I got was a tiny little one no bigger than my pinky finger. This was my first time getting food from this pub and unfortunately my last.

Nice venue. A bit expensive. Still give 5 stars though as the wine was so good.I feel I should after there reply to my review that the staff didn't make it clear that there was a price for every budget.And I couldn't see prices at the bar so it was hard to know what you were going to pay .So I'll take 2 star off you for that!Also next time I am in Guildford I will drink my wine somewhere else as I feel you are over priced and you probably think your customers will be to embarrassed to say "just a minute I don't want to pay £18.00 for a one small and one larger glass of wine. I guess you have an answer for that.However don't bother as I won't be in again.

The Drummond needs to work on the food a little. For example, the cheese burger was not of the best quality, and the triple cooked chips did not seem to be triple cooked. Food portions were ungenerous, and presentation was a bit untidy. They didn't really check on us carefully during the meal, and didn't seem to care as much as one would hope. There was no decaf coffee available, and the steamer wasn't working, so no hot chocolate either. The staff seemed to be relatively untrained and inexperienced. I hope the next experience might be a little better!

I have tried the burgers for first time and I'm in love, very tasty and good portion. I recommend it.

Was worried booking somewhere new for mother’s day. Absolutely no need to with this place! Lovely interior (photos don’t do it justice) , warm and welcoming, super friendly and helpful staff, delicious food ( our party had salmon, lamb and steak burger -all perfectly cooked) , and we got a parting Mother’s Day gift for the 2 mums at the table - lovely touch! Highly recommend !!

Me and boyfriend have been a few times for their Wednesday burger offer which is a burger and a pint/glass of wine for £13. Very worth it! Lovely food, quick service and nice atmosphere

Great find on our way to the Ice Hockey. Went for a beer and a roast, one of the best roast we have had. Overall service was great and the pub was very inviting. Well worth going to

A cracking pub a short walk from the town centre. Interesting interior, great range of beers and well prepared food. Table service and order off your phone too. Its getting busier as we get nearer Xmas so worth booking a table.Been back again tonight and can report it is consistently good. The food was excellent, I had the sausage and mash and it's possibly the tastiest I've had, and a good choice of beers / wine etc

Great food and beer selection! Staff super friendly, thoroughly enjoyable afternoon chewing the fat with an old friend. The bangers and mash were to die for!

Visited the Drummond for first time while staying weekend in Guilford. Husband mark hadn’t been back for 30 years. Landlord was very polite n sat talking to us made us feel very welcome. Pub was great atmosphere to sit in n had lovely food. Hubby had sausage n mash n I had steak burger. Would recommend this venue n can’t wait to return for another visit. Plus all my husbands favourite beers were all on tap. Thank you very much
