great food, atmosphere and a really friendly staff. i came here several times during my stay at Horsely - and every single time the food was excellent! try the sunday roast , the fish with black rice and miso glaze (yummm!) and the pie. all their servings are generous , the food is delicious!

Great venue and friendly staff. Very accommodating for families and nice atmosphere. I had the steak which was done to perfection. Would highly recommend. Cashless payments only.

The food was good, but the experience was largely ruined by the manager.We were placed with 2 highchairs on a busy service route. The manager repeatedly tutted at any food dropped by our 12 month olds (inevitable, you'll know if you have children) and made us feel extremely uncomfortable.Next time, place children away from this area if you aren't able to tolerate small bits of dropped food.

Another lovely lunch here. Nice staff and good harty fare. I had the vegan mushroom pie and my husband had the chicken schnitzel. We will continue to come here regularly.

Unfortunately we will not be returning....had starters and waited a long time for mains, which it seems was forgotten as we were asked what we would like for dessert having not been served our mains as yet. When mains did eventually arrive, the Thai Curry left much to be desired and was sent back, with no replacement offered, the salmon was tasty but potatoes were under cooked, bordering on raw. The only dish that was edible was the Beef and Ale pie (must be pre-made) but was not served with the advertised seasonal vegetables, but a mound of cabbage. As this was the only edible dish, I shared it with my son who had ordered the Thai Curry and now had no meal. Dessert, chocolate cheesecake and ice cream, was good, according to my two grandchildren and daughter in law. I'm sure it would be a bit difficult to ruin those two items. And then to put the cherry on top of the cake, they only credited the salmon dish from the bill....

I was welcomed by a lovely young lad who showed me to my table and made me feel very relaxed. The roast beef was delicious and the waitresses brought me extra gravy too. I finished with coffee with Smarties as petit fours. If you are in the area it's worth a visit.

We’ve defected to the Duke of Wellington since the food at our local went downhill following a take over by a big pubco chain. We are mightily relieved that a decent gastro pub still remains in our neighbourhood!We’ve had a number of meals here with different menus and have yet to experience a major disappointment (Salted Caramel Tart was an experience we won’t be repeating ) but otherwise the food and service has been flawless.

Only having been outside for their pop up coffee shop and for some lunch it is not a bad spot. I am keen to go inside when the weather drops off.I have to say their cheese toastie is fantastic! The mac n cheese not so great, it was just bechamel sauce, pasta and no cheese.The main road makes it a touch noisey to sit outside.

Beautiful pub, great location, delicious food. I was really impressed. Starter - shrimp cocktail. Sat down for Sunday roast, exceptional, delicate beef, freshly made pudding, and dessert, orange chocolate cake, for a great finish to perfect lunch. Highly recommended.
