Stopped for lunch here after a lovely walk around Puttenham and Shackleford today. Me and my husband had a smoked salmon sandwich and wow what a sandwich!! A great doorstep sandwich made from a delicious granary style bread and absolutely packed with fresh smoked salmon. A pile of crisps and salad on the side. My daughter chose the cajun chicken burger which she said was the best chicken burger she had ever had!! Excellent food and a warm welcome, would highly recommend.

We ate here again on Saturday evening. The welcome was very warm and the beer well kept. The food was excellent. It was good before but now it is superb. A lovely local pub and very dog friendly.

Excellent service great good and very friendly relaxed atmosphere there were 12 of us and we preordered as it was lunchtime. Well recommend this excellent pub

We had dinner here after walking in Puttenham Commons and the ribs we had was one of the best pub meals we ever had! Atmosphere is lovely, too, good beers/ciders and dog friendly which is an added bonus. We popped by again this weekend specifically for the ribs but unfortunately it was taken off the menu - hope it will return someday!

A centuries old pub with delightful new management and clearly a great chef. My friend and I stopped here for lunch on a Saturday and enjoyed lamb shank and beef stew. They have Atlantic IPA on tap which was superb as well as Timothy Taylor for those who prefer ale.Food, drinks, service, ambiance all perfect. Highly recommended.
