We had lunch at The Plough, and we really enjoyed it!The food was lovely and there was a very relaxed atmosphere. It is also dog friendly which is a very important tick in the box from us! 🐶The staff were clearly busy but dealt with it very well as the service was very friendly and prompt. The waitress engaged with my daughter which was nice as in some places the kids can treated as if they are invisible, but that wasn’t the case here at all!

Sunday lunch platter, we hadn't booked and they still found us a table. Busy but very good meal and service, loved it. Thanks very much

Last night we each had 2 courses for £15. We opted for starters & mains but could have had main & pudding. The food was excellent; different, very tasty, good but not overwhelming portion sizes. Very friendly and professional young staff. Can highly recommend.

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch, lovely venue, efficient staff. Starters of mackerel pate & camembert delicious, Spouse raved over roast beef & well cooked veg. Daughter & I adored vegeburgers - tasty and moist. The chocolate brownies were gorgeous . We will return.

Amazing staff, the lead waitress professionally dealt with an inconsiderate family whose kid was blasting a game out.We only went due to a cancellation elsewhere, and are glad we did..amazing Sunday lunch and wine. A great little find.

Really tasty Sunday dinner. Lamb shank is nice and tender, fish and chips lovely, meaty and succulent. Good beer, good service... What more do you need from good pub food?

Having booked lunch on recommendation, service lacked considerably being offered a drink once on arrival in the space of a three hour stay. Don’t go for lasagne if you would like a traditional dish. This is offered as a small spoon full of mince sauce, a single layer of pasta with a cheese ‘sauce’ saturating the very shallow ramekin dish. Chicken burger lacked any seasoning and saturated in oil. The lentil and ham soup of the day was in fact vegetable soup with an almost unidentifiable small piece of ham in the base. Pleasant enough service but inattentive and very poor quality dishes.

The Plough looks great and the staff are really friendly. The upstairs function room is really well presented. Disabled access is poor though and there are no toilets on the same floor as the function room so bear that in mind if you're planning to hire it out.

Had a couple of meals here, comfortable surroundings if a bit quirky, had scampi one day very nice £13.00 (Nov 2021), however disappointed with the lasagne I had several days later £10.00 very strong cheese on top overpowered the flavour, not cheap, would probably try other places in future

One of the best Sunday roasts. I highly recommend also getting the cauliflower cheese as an extra as it's very good!
