Great outdoor seating, delicious food. Staff was a bit forgetful (asked for tap water / ketchup a couple of times etc.) but very friendly. Can't comment on the rooms as we only went there for dinner.I highly recommend booking a table in advance!

Had a lovely evening last night dining at the covered outside area for my nephews fare well meal before he goes to work in Japan. The food was excellent, weather 22 degrees, the manager and staff were 1st class and even found time to fuss the dog. Wish more parking could be found! Highly recommended.

The best roast around, we travel nearly 40 mins to this beautiful pub. The food is always perfect, beautiful surroundings and so peaceful especially sat out by the river. Brilliant service always, especially from Harry - staff like this should be treasured. Great drinks menu too - top quality and lots of variety.

We had a warm welcome at the bar and the beer Tilford brewery is very good. I wanted to sit next to the river and asked if I could sit down for a quick drink. Yes I was told. I then sat down only for another member of staff to say you cannot sit there... This was 18:00 and the table was booked from 18:45. I said that I would move to another table and would write what I felt in a review if the table was still unoccupied when I left. So from this review you know it was empty... To add insult to injury my wife had sat at another Riverside table that was not booked. So why did the staff member not suggest the other table. So the conclusion of this story is a bad review, because the staff person was over officious and we only had one drink and we will not be returning anytime soon. It's interesting how one member of staff can make such in impact.

Excellent pub food with a variety of wines. I had a trio Sunday roast, which was one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner with friends!

I would say that for the price of the dishes the value for money wasn't very good at all. Had the half chicken and there was absolutely nothing special about it at all. The accompaniments were pretty basic too with nothing to justify the price of the dish. Pork belly was nicely presented but small portion. Flavour combination wasn't to taste and again pretty steeply priced for what it was.

Delightful visit yesterday for bank holiday monday lunch. Great menu, good quality food and very fair pricing £200 for table of 4 with 3 courses and drinks. lovely setting and great staff. not a huge amount of parking but to be expected in this sort of village.

Lovely pub in a nice location serving great roast dinners. We had the pork and the beef sirloin which were both served with a big Yorkshire pudding and proper cooked vegetables (no microwaves!). It’s dog friendly and nicely done out inside while all the staff working when we visited were really friendly and accommodating - despite it being so busy! Thanks guys 👍🏼

Just finished a hard mornings work, took a group of staff members to the Stag for a pint and a bite for lunch. Staff were amazing. Gluten free options as well which is amazing. And lovely set up near the river.

We just arrived for an overnight stay. What a beautiful building and location!. Quaint, cosy and very clean pub and room, complete with beams and slightly sloping floor for character. The staff were very welcoming. We had a delicious Sunday dinner which was the tastiest we've ever had, from the Yorkshire pudding , red cabbage and wow...the gravy!! Looking forward to a good night sleep and see what breakfast is in store!
