The Star Inn Restaurant in Guildford

Now this is somewhere we'd happily visit every time we step foot in Guildford. Really cool venue, with a great atmosphere and great decor. On a couple of occasions music was a bit loud so struggled to hear conversation at table. Nice selection on the bar too.

For some unknown reason, I got refused entry by the bouncer tonight. My 2 friends and I were sober and in our late 40s so didn’t pose any threat.The pub looked half empty and I have been drinking there for 20years so felt massive disappointed. The bouncer attacked us with a barrage of insults and told us he never wants to see us in the pub again. 20 years.He couldn’t give a reason why we couldn’t get in and refused entry to 2 young ladies who also wanted to get in. He just continued his verbal abuse.Absolutely gutted to be treated this way in one of my favourite pubs but I can’t see myself ever going back

Such an Interesting pub with plenty of cool places to sit and relax or have a good chat at the bar area with freindly staff and customers. Good ale too..

Very decent booze, and more than decent jukebox

Lovely little pub that is larger than you think. Great atmosphere and a good selection of beers.

Lost 2 stars for two reasons.....the bar staff needs to learn to do a pint of Guinness properly and they refused to take any option the burger patty. The chef does it his way only....well....it was over done to the point of being dry and tasted like the grill. The pie was great however.

Fabulous pub. Went in here after a days shopping for a drink before home. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. Seats comfortable. Staff friendly. Lovely little pub. Definitely would return.

Nice historic little bar, good selection of beverages including a few nice ales. Friendly staff and a rear room that we saw a fun little panto in. Will be back again.

Very friendly staff an old style pub a bit of a maze to get around but the food is very good and they get busy at lunch time. Very clean throughout.

Went for a family dinner and meet up!! We all had Fish and chips which was a large piece of fish and proper chips, it was very nice and we didn't have to wait long for it to arrive after ordering!! The beer was very good too, Spitfire Ale!! Will probably be back again when next in Guildford for great service!!
