Great food for lunch and a proper clotted cream tea. Fresh warm scones. Nice decor. Great little centre. Thoroughly recommend! The absolute tastiest rarebit!!

Lovely and such an incredible place to visit as a whole!

We had a lovely Welsh Rarebit for lunch and I requested a slice of cheese and onion quiche to take away. Both were wonderful and it was nice they provided a salad and coleslaw with the takeaway quiche. Friendly staff too.

Although my cake was delicious, the service was painfully slow and the environment was unwelcoming and almost unpleasant. You had to queue in the rain before being allowed into the cafe. In my case that took 15 minutes. Then the cafe door was left permanently open on one of the coldest days of the year. There was no heating. No take away service so you were obliged to go through this experience if you wanted a drink or sit-down after enjoying the wider Watts offering.

The spiced parsnip and carrot soup was really delicious. Husband had an amazing sausage sandwich. We finished off with cake: the Cappuccino GF cake was delicious. I would recommend it even if you're not GF! The salted caramel cake was also yummy. Very friendly and helpful staff: served quickly and no waiting around for the food.

Expensive. Avoid at weekends. They're trying to serve too many people, in too small a space, with too few staff. Gave up after queuing outside in the cold for 20 minutes and carried on to Seale Tea Rooms. Car park full, but no queues and food and drinks served within 10 minutes of ordering. Watts need to pay a visit and see how it should be done.

Used to love coming here. We popped in on Sunday during a visit to the gallery for the first time since lockdown. The service was hapazard but polite. We ordered sandwiches and scone and coffee. The scone and coffee came after about 10mins but the sandwich which we wanted to eat first took another 15mins. When they came the sandwiches were SO over stuffed it was impossible to eat them as a sandwich and the vast amount of filling made me feel sick . A quarter of the contents would have been fine. My egg and cress sandwich had no cress just egg absolutely smothered in mayonnaise. The scones were tasty but again far far too big. I regularly make scones at home and these were at least 4 times the size. We wished we'd saved money and ordered one between us. We came out feeling frustrated, over stuffed and somewhat poorer.

Very attractive cafe. Generous portions especially of cake, Well presented and tasty food. Good COVID precautions. Staff masked, tables well spaced. Airy, high ceilinged space. Well worth a detour. Arrive in good time as it can get busy.
