Busy but still a great pub. Nice food, brilliant selection of beers and super friendly staff. Enjoyed a visit on a busy Friday night.

What a lovely find, fantastic beer selection, 3 off my favourites. Lovely food, well worth the walk up the hill!

Nice little bar in a historical building, friendly staff and a decent range of ales. Serve food as well but had already eaten elsewhere. Outside to the rear covered 'secret garden'. Not too great a choice on Whiskys and a large amount of dirty glasses piled up at the start of the bar area which looked messy although overall the place seemed quite clean. Would visit again and perhaps give their food a shot.

Lovely pub in the heart of Guildford town, with a good selection of alcohol, wines and spirits.I used to come here 20 years ago in the 90's when it used to be 5 deep at the bar on a Fri/Saturday night so lots of nostalgia here. Also on the Guildford Ghost Tour this pub had/has supposedly a poltergeist!?The pub itself is very old and full of character with friendly helpful staff and very nice food from a not very big menu and great specials on offer, tables were cleaned after every customer left with staff doing this very efficiently. We will visit again👍

Excellent pub, I usually don't do reviews but had to make an exception. It was very busy and despite this the servers Tenby and Duncan (had to get their names) did a great job and were very friendly. The neck oil is also amazing.

Lovely local pub. Goid food, good beer selection. This week, it was busy with Xmas parties, but pub staff (Rachel in particular) were still friendly and welcoming - and kept us posted on when food could be ordered so that the wait wasn't too long.

Had lunch here today after it was recommended by a friend. We were disappointed. Warm, friendly welcome, great lunchtime menu deal, nice atmosphere, lovely food and excellent service. Won’t hesitate to go back next time we’re in Guildford and will be recommending to friends and family that live close by. Special Thanks to Rachel who looked after us.

I think that a few films have been filmed at this place (or at least using the exterior of the pub), but I could be wrong about this.I really enjoyed the food. The house salad was great because it was really nicely presented and had an abundance of delicious ingredients. It was very delicious. I aso recommend the chicken. There were people at the front of the pub, who seemed to be local, which made the atmposphere even nicer. There is a large screen TV for those people who enjoy sports and there is also a small table in extremely close proximity to the screen for those people who need to be up close. There is seating available upstairs, which offers a lovely view of Holy Trinity Church and the beautiful cobblestone streets.
