Worplesdon Place in Guildford

Had a very nice lunch here. Place is nice and relaxing inside and peaceful outside with the grounds and lake to look at. Plus pods outside to have food in if you wish. Had to be hot weather though too use the pods.

Me and my dog, Cracker, had a really lovely time! The grounds were superb and rooms very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed for our short stay and all the staff were extremely approachable and helpful. Looking forward to our return trip!

We had a wonderful lunch here today for 20 of us after a very emotional Memorial for our son. Couldn’t have asked for perfect setting and the service we received especially from Lorna was exceptional! Highly recommend

The food and bar was very nice and the service was friendly, only reason I am given it 3 stars is the service vas very slow, not sure if they were short staffed but the waitress did say anything when we were seated. I will definitely go back and hopefully the service will be a little quicker next visit.

What on earth is the matter with hotels these days,enquired direct by there email which we can see has been read,just wanted to make a booking for this coming weekend which was showing available but sadly no reply,so have had to book elsewhere.Such a shame as it looked like our type of hotel which accepted dogs and was safe parking for the car.

The location is wonderful but food and service let it down. Very slow to deliver starters even though early into lunch service. Truffle butter for bread, cold to the point of almost frozen. Croquettes were just like warm mush. The mains were dry and looked like they had been waiting around. No goodbye from staff, as they were too busy talking to each other. Really disappointing, so we won't return.

Great rooms, really nice food, warm atmosphere and excellent service. The grounds are a treat for the eyes. The staff are friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return maybe with a furry friend next time!

Service really great, staff very friendly and always lovely to be able to bring the dog. Food was ok - burgers overdone and fish and chips soggy but sharing platters to start were very tasty. Unfortunately though my birthday Bloody Mary was mostly mustard and big lumps of garlic.

Excellent food again, good selection of beer, very polite staff. Next time we visit, will ask to be seated in the main bar area, away from noisy families and unruly children. Unfortunately, that's the problem of being over 70, love a moan!

Bloody Brilliant !! From the first greeting by the lady in reception through to saying goodbye in the morning, the staff were faultless, friendly, fun and so so thoughtful.The meals we had in the restaurant were really exquisite in taste and presentation ( and extremely well priced if anything for the quality we would have paid more ! )The bar staff were always friendly and helpful, however, a special mention has to be made of how exceptional the waiter and waitress were. No question about the food was left unanswered ( and at times checked with the chef.) they were all so friendly, helpful and heaps of personality.The room was brilliant, king size bed, roll top bath and views over the garden and lake.There is nothing that would not make us go back
