Al Fresco in Hart

We have been big fans of Alfresco for years and have always enjoyed the food and the service. Tonight all that changed. We ordered delivery using Uber Eats. On the notes, I wrote "No Aubergine on Contadina pizza" due to a food allergy. The pizza arrived with aubergine. In addition to this, the food arrived cold after being in transport with Uber Eats for 45 mins. The driver advised we were his 3rd stop. We called Alfresco and the response was of complete indifference advising that its a busy night and they don't read the order notes! The only remedy would be to take it up with Uber Eats. Uber Eats advised it's not their problem that the restaurant does not read the customer notes. Poor service all round, left hungry and out of pocket.

Always my go to restaurant in Whetstone, food always fantastic and service is great too. Very accommodating for families with children too, made my 4 year old a smaller version of one of their pizzas in the shape of a bunny! My husband always has the fillet steak and says its the best he's had!

I booked here for Mother’s Day, and was disgusted by the hygiene of the restaurant. I was sat next to the cutlery station and witnessed more than once, staff drop clean cutlery on the floor which was very dirty with muddy footprints and pick it up and put it back in the draw for use. This is against hygiene protocol that restaurants are meant to follow. I would never eat here again, unless I want a bad stomach. I informed one staff and they did not seem bothered at all. I think this is absolutely disgusting. The food was also very bland and rushed. But more pressing issue is the hygiene of this restaurant. Do not go.

Nice restaurant. Great value for money, big portions of food. Very friendly staff and they even sing happy birthday if you let them know. Would definitely recommend to friends.

The food is amazing, delicious, very well prepared, however, the service, oooh my God the service, waiting time are outrageous. I love this place, but you have to do better with your service. If it is very busy, won't hurt if the customers are told that average waiting time for food is let say 30 minutes or 40 min, so people can decide whether to wait or not.

Food was quite nice but the service was shocking!Stood waiting for someone to come to the reception for ages,sat waiting for someone to serve us for what seamed a long time and not overly friendly, as if they were doing us a big favour to be served!When we spoke to the manager at the end he didn't seem interested!Lee

Busy but average food and average service. We had food arrived cold. Sent back and came back heated up rather than a new one. If it was cooked perfectly the first time then heating up would make the dough burnt. Rest of the food was ok - and gave up waiting for desert.

The worst experience you can have, I’ve had food poisoning and maybe slight bout of salmonella confirmed from my GP. I ordered pollo e pane breaded chicken and it was raw pink and slimy on Sunday. I’ve lost two days of work in one the busiest weeks of the year. To be accused of lying that I didn’t eat the food no refund and to be joked around, well let’s what the FSA trading standards and the local papers gave too say about this. This could killed someone I have been so ill with a fever vomiting diarrhoea and stomach cramps I even too stay my business as I couldn’t move and slept there In agony and lost clients and business for two days fir a so called restaurant with 2021 hygiene awards lol this is about a chef who couldn’t cook chicken and served raw pink and slimy. I have everything recorded emails photos and the food preserved still its absolute joke I will take further action

I ordered yesterday for the first time from Al Fresco. I was looking for a good restaurant in my area and finally I found it, great pizza with quality ingredients and baked just like I asked, very friendly staff. I ordered on their website and had also 25% discount which is very good.

Ok atmosphere, and service is good. The food was average. It's fine for a normal meal.
