We didn't even get the chance to try the courtyard cafe. When we entered the cafe we found loads of empty tables and no reservation signs on any of these tables. After settling at a free table my wife went into the cafe to get and menu and was met with an extremely rude member of staff who told her that if you had no booking there was no way we can look after you. We would have been happy with 2 cups of coffee but seemingly they couldn't manage this.We would understand this if there was clear signage that booking was required as we entered or reservation signs on the numerous free tables. We were not expected to be met with such a rude and hostile member of staff.

We will never come here again. Service so slow it was ridiculous. Attitude of serving staff far from acceptable too. We emailed you about our back experience after visiting 2 weeks ago now but you never even replied. As for stipulating no over 12 can have your kids menu is ridiculous.

Went for lunch here recently with friends. Menu not extensive but a nice range of dishes. I choose the ever popular bubble & squeak cake topped with cispy bacon & an egg. It was very tasty & I would recommend it, the tomato & basil sauce really helped lift it. That plus 2 pots of tea & a tip was £20 so not the cheapest place but the food was lovely. It was busy for midweek & the waitresses were working hard.

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!! Shame on you turning away my daughter and her friend with their new babies and pushchairs when your cafe was nearly empty! Loads tables free. Life has been isolating enough and new mums/parents need company. They came to experience your reputation but experienced nothing but a bad one. 😠

Nice for a cozy vistit to have a typical English afternoon tea, lunch or dinner. Nothing fancy just ordinary good. service is friendly and professional.

Best breakfast I have had in awhile. Really nice coffee and the smoothie was wonderful (i think it was called Pass 'n' Shoot). The staff were also lovely. The place is pricey, but it's worth it and fitting with the area. Didn't get to see inside but the courtyard was lovely to sit in.Normal take proper pictures of my food but it looked so good when it came out i took a quick video and dug in!

My family and I have been here so many times, ordered so many cakes, and the food are always delicious! Staff are amazing! Best kept secret in HW!

Lovely delicious fresh cooked food, fab coffee. Perfect if you are not in a hurry. The lamb kofta was an upmarket and very yummy kebab, and the Asian chicken was a fab combination of textures and flavours. Although the coffee machine wasn't working the cafetiere coffee was smoky and delicious enough that it rolled like velvet over the whole of my tongue.

Visited during breakfast time (which runs until 11.30) on a Saturday, the cafe was quite busy but maintained a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu had a good selection of breakfast foods. And cake could be ordered at the counter. It is however quite pricey, our bill for 2 people, came to £11 for 2 coffees a toast and croissant. And the toast said bloomer bread on the menu, but looked more like supermarket white bread. However this is a nice local business, with a friendly atmosphere, so is worth the extra pennies in my opinion.
