Best pub in Margate. We came here twice during our short trip. I found it very friendly, nice atmosphere, quick service. Local beers are must to try (Northdown Brewery).

This was our first visit to The George and Heart and I am so cross that we have only just discovered it after numerous recent visits to Margate for events at the Winter Gardens . We all had the roast dinner (it was a Sunday) and it was well worth every penny !The atmosphere in the pub is very relaxed and all the staff were so helpful and friendly . We had a table booked (think that is a necessity) but we arrived very early and the staff were very accommodating.Just such a lovely pub with brilliant food and a food location !

It was our first time visiting and we were given a very warm welcome. There was nowhere to sit and the staff made sure we were given the next free table. We enjoyed our evening in a relaxed atmosphere. We've booked to go again and have a meal 😁

Booked Sunday roast here after lots of recommendations, dog friendly, great atmosphere and staff super efficient too . Food great and didn’t have to wait long we will be back .

I had an excellent time here with my partner and dog for a Sunday roast recently.The food was absolutely delicious, both the roast and the pudding, and the staff were very attentive and friendly.We stopped on for a couple of cocktails and really can't find fault anywhere with the pub.Well worth checking out!

We had one of the best Sunday roasts there. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere added to the experience. We definitely coming back for more.

Very nice place, small menu variety, needs more things but what we had was good. Menu difficult to read as on brown paper and with dim lights. Cocktails not so sure about as nothing looked interesting what I did have was disgusting but couldn't read what it was.

Really not as good as I have read. Menu limited for a Saturday night. Young waiter actually said Im not making you stay. I was with a disabled friend in wheelchair I would have left if it was not for the hassle of finding alternative place to eat.

First ever visit, even though we have passed this pub for years now but never ventured in. This time we thought we'd give it a try... I peeked through the doors to see what it was like. The moment I walked through the door there was a warm welcome...staff were ALL lovely!Loved the atmosphere, great music...(though a touch too loud, but we were sitting directly under a speaker). Beautifully decorated, very cosy and comfortable.Food was excellent.... absolutely yummy.(Can't remember the name of the dish I ordered, but it was delicious... Spicy chickpea, squash with pickled cucumber and yoghurt) Amazing combination of flavours...Great craft beer too.Looking forward to our next visit... highly recommended, thanks guys, great job!!!

Great atmosphere, vegan roast was lovely. The nut loaf was the best I have had in a long time but my partner had the vegetarian option and he had cauliflower cheese and yorkshire pudding (all of which can be made vegan) so obviously I had a smaller dinner. Also no vegan pudding!!!
