Good luck if you just want a drink and a hot bar snack. The place was empty and wouldn’t accept 2 adults…

Family and dog friendly. Warm welcome and food is great.

I popped in for a drink, ended up staying for dinner—a lovely meal at a great price. Also, I got to meet the friendly locals from the village. Highly recommend stopping in.

A super place to stay with older children. Considering the changeable Cornish weather the accommodation with the hot tub was a bonus! Had to go out everyday in the car due to the location plus to the nearest supermarket. Could do with a mini shop on site.Accommodation was clean, good beds with care and attention to bedding , towels and plenty of comfortable seating. Would prefer a central table than a footstool. Table and chairs on the decking. Heating for the sudden dip in temperature.Shower unit slight mould which could be easily sorted and lampshades wiped over.Enjoyed my stay.

Relaxed atmosphere, delicious and really well priced food. Celebrated mum's birthday here and we all said how great our evening was! The staff are attentive and polite. Love that it's dog-friendly too

Fantastic place to stop and have something to eat. A traditional village pub with a modern twist. The service was great, the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be back again!

We decided to take our chances on this pub after doing a Google search to find a local dog friendly place. So glad we did! The pub itself was really nice, had two fires roaring which was very welcome on such a cold evening. The food was absolutely stunning - if in doubt go for the pie. And the staff were really nice, Yasmin was doing a cracking job serving behind the bar and doing table service for those dining. She was friendly, attentive and gave great recommendations. So happy we found this place, we will definitely come back.

The food was delicious and seemed really good value. We were a large party (16) and had the "gallery" to ourselves, giving the children space to be themselves without disturbing anyone else. The gallery room was lovely and the table was laid up for us when we arrived, and staff were so attentive, they moved breakables, and took great care to check that the order they had taken was spot on, etc. Would recommend and hope to return soon!

pub was very nice, open fire, old English feel to it, staff polite. we went on a Sunday but not being a red meat eater I did struggle with the menu and had only 2 choices, no chicken available so opted for the halloumi which was presented well and tasted nice, partner had roast beef with a generous portion size. overall it was a very pleasant experiance but lack of food choice means It would put me off 're visiting

Very well run with excellent bar staff. The menu was a little smaller than most pubs offer, but the quality was spot on.Sometimes less is more.Nice garden, good sized tables and portions.Cutlery was immaculate. Homemade desserts were beautifully presented.
