Heron on The Lake in Hart

Unfortunately, my visit to the Heron on the Lake was for the wake for my Grandson and not for pleasure. Having said that, the staff were wonderful discreet but available when needed. The food was excellent and plentiful, the bar staff professional and friendly. We were a very large party of varying ages but we're never made to feel we were in the way of normal business. I cannot thank them enough for making an awful day easier to get through. I would thoroughly recommend this place and will return

Jack went over and beyond with our service last Sunday, it was a large table of six of us with starters, roast dinners, kids food and pudding. Jacks attention to detail was second to none and he remembered everything and was so alert the whole time! Would be coming back due to Jack's amazing service. Thank you Jack!

Lovely pub, especially when sunny outside! Recently attended the Thursday pub quiz which was fun but sometimes hard to hear (will try a different seating location next time as would love to return). Main meal food is great quality and delicious. Nibbles / casual eating options not as good as they used to be.

Had an awesome Birthday meal in one of the heated outdoor domes. Food was great and service excellent. A must try experience.

Flo was our waitress and Rachel was in charge on our visit. It was honestly the most wonderful meal we've had in a long time, my husband said it was in his top three all time meals ever !! Lovely service, great atmosphere, clean, fresh, authentic. Such a great welcome and goodbye too. This will definitely be our go-to family dining venue from now on ☺️☺️☺️☺️

Lovely time. First visit. Lunch wth an old friend. Travelled there especially. Service was really good. Food good. Filling so we only had the One course!

What a find! Beautiful setting on the lake. Wood flooring internally, rustic feel, good atmosphere. Friendly staff.Mostly the food was good, however I ordered the baked salmon, it was dry, pretty flavourless (I could not detect it was salmon) not really pink? I wondered what fish it might be? Didn't taste of much!I was happily given a fresh meal even though I'd nearly eaten it all by the time I asked, it was better but still overcooked. My sister had the Buddha bowl and son had lasagne, both of theirs were good. All of our starters were good. I had lentil, avocado and plum tomato cocktail

This is a great location for a pub/bar/restaurant. We’re looking to move to the area so after a house viewing checking out the area we stopped here for drinks and food.Being on the lake makes it a great place for socialising or even on your own I’d imagine. Yes it did seem to get busy but staff were very friendly and swiftly delivered our drinks and later food, of which I had a local lager and we shared picky-bits off the menu which went down a treat.Toilets were clean and tidy. Car parking is plentiful.I’ve given it five-stars as it really is a nice place, if I had to knock it then I’d say the train on the far side of the lake gets a bit annoying with its noise, but you kinda get used to it!

Fantastic location obtaining beautiful views over a lake. The staff are helpful and friendly and help add to a wonderful atmosphere.Food is once again fantastic and certainly great value for money. We had the fish and chips with minted mushy peas and the garlic chicken.Would definitely recommend and will look to visit again.

I’ve been here twice this week.The food was delicious and presented well. Good portion sizes and freshly made.The pub is by the side of the lake and the views are stunning.Credit should be given to the staff and the management. Everyone seems to coordinate so well so the service is smooth.Plenty of parking available.Facilities are well kept.
