The location is unbeatable. Food is also a level above most

Such a beautiful setting to sit outside on a sunny day. However the food is dreadful. So overpriced and really awful. We ordered a sharing platter which had so little food on the plate and cost £21! The cheesy chips with crispy bacon were undercooked and the bacon was not crispy! I honestly wouldn’t eat here. Nice for a drink but food disgusting!

Beautiful traditional country pub. Highly recommended, staff are all welcoming and friendly, location and building are beautiful and so well kept, food is superb. A popular favourite I can’t help returning too

I was out on a Saturday evening doing home food deliveries and was absolutely desperate to use the toilet ! This was the closest available place with toilets ! Normally I would ask whoever is behind the bar if it would be okay for me to use their toilet… but this pub was packed with people drinking and I was desperate! I just looked for the ladies toilet and headed towards it with my head down as to avoid drawing attention To myself ! The landlady then follows me into the toilets and asks if I’m a customer (I’m wearing a high vis vest with a big food delivery van parked outside) she says this pub is for paying customers only and points to the sink telling me she pays for the water bill and continues to keep harassing me on the way out of the toilets with her customers staring at me ! Trying to work out if she was on a power trip or a bully !

Came here for the Morris Dancers and Mummers, but stayed for a pint and a burger. Good food, nice atmosphere, careful serving. Good outdoors tables and I would have been undercover in the purpose built area, but the Morris men were to much fun!

Came here for dinner after visiting the Christmas Lights at West Green House. First time visiting and we were very impressed with the service and quality of food. The menu had great variety and the homemade steak and kidney pie was very tasty! I highly recommend the homemade pie (changes every few days) and the king prawn with chorizo too.

Drove past and couldn't resist stopping, overlooking a large green, was offered food and upon looking at menu I took the healthy option (never imagined Id like Avocado) alongside some Jalapeno Delights with additional hot sauce mrmm..David from SA was tip top on his service, professionalism, attentiveness, and all round personally!Great pub

A great place to have food and drink. The food was cooked excellent and served at the right temperature with great service. The staffs were polite and knowledgeable.I believe it’s a dog friendly pub with super ambience and free parking right in front. The barman served the Guinness the way it should be and we thought it tasted as if we were having a pint of Guinness in Dublin! The pub interior could do with refurbishment and a coat of paint and so could the male toilets. But these things perhaps don’t matter as quality of food, drinks and service are the best!
