Lovely, clean room. Friendly staff. Good price

The room wasn't the cleanest we have used and the hotel is in desperate need of updating! But the staff and location are perfect.

We use this Travelodge every time we come to Ely to visit family.2 or 3 times a year. Good location on the side of the A10 just 5 minutes from Ely. Always clean and comfortable and what staff we've met have always been really polite and helpful. Starbucks next door and if you show your key card you get 10% off.

Place is a rip of how can you charge 1 night at £78.00 then the next night at £118.00.Why is there and extra £40.00 for a 2nd night stay for the same amount of people and same room.Disgusting how they get away with doing this

Clean, fresh bedding, clean room, no dust. Friendly staff, excellent housekeeping team. It was quite during the night, had a comfortable restful sleep on a comfy bed with clean fluffy pillow's Communal area outside does need some benches, where you can eat or have a coffee outside when the weather is good. I highly recommend this hotel, for a short value stay.

Ideally placed for visiting March and Ely. We got a taxi into Ely which got us there in less than 5 minutes and cost just over £5. The staff here were all really friendly and helpful and everything in our room and outside in the grounds was clean and well looked after. A lovely stay. Thanks to all the staff here

Firstly I should say, the staff here are great. Two stars is no reflection on them.The building itself is a big let down though. Basically it needs a full refurbishment but after asking at the reception I was told there's nothing planned for now.I stayed just one night. The first room (25) I was allocated to, smelt strongly of mould as soon as I went in. I got it changed immediately at reception without any difficulty.Room 7 was a lot better smelling. But the heater wasn't too good on a cold evening, which is unusual at Travelodge in my experience. It was also starting to get rusty. The paint in the bathroom was flaking off in a few places. The bedroom carpet was definitely in need of a proper clean too and I had to walk carefully to avoid the worst patches.I kept the room anyway and it was quiet at night, which is good.The hotel reminded me of a couple of dodgy American motels I stayed at back in the 90s. Luckily I've used other Travelodge hotels before and after, because if this was the first I wouldn't go back again.One advantage it does have, is it's single storey, so fully accessible to all rooms.On site is a Burger King and the BP petrol station has an M&S store and Wild Bean cafe. If you want something else it's either order online or drive into Ely.Hopefully this place eventually gets the makeover it so desperately needs.

If you're looking for somewhere that's easy to get to, and has all your basic needs without looking too fancy, then this is your place. Hot, powerful shower, clean and comfy bed - I stayed on a Saturday night and had a quiet night's sleep.

When we arrived we were given a key to a room where it smelt of dirty toilets and foist. Then another room we were given the bed wasn't ready and the cleaning stuff was still in there. The 3rd room was okay. Cleanliness wasn't wasn't best, the carpets could do with a good clean. Overall the hotel needs updating. Wouldn't stay again before this is done.
