Fantastic pub/eatery tucked away in the forrest. Staff were friendly and the menu is quite varied. I had the baked Camenbert then the chicken wrap. Very delicious indeed!

Just a great pub to be able to incorporate into romantic walks, family walks - even solo walks! Dogs always welcome, and always a friendly atmosphere. Good outdoor space, large undercover seating area with patio heaters.

A very welcoming place for all parties, couples, families and dogs! Service was excellent, 👌 and the food was fantastic. Plenty of covered outdoor seating surrounded by woodland makes for a relaxing setting for many occasions. (Update: this place is still awesome, carvery is exceptional.)

It was a last minute decision to drop in for supper. What a good decision. There was a lovely guest ale - Gunner's Daughter. We each had the double burger. Fantastic choice. They were really flavourful. The chips were lovely and crispy. Pudding was a shared Sticky Toffee pudding. Yum!! Only slight negatives were that there could have been more custard with the pudding and the drinks were a little slow coming.Stopped by for Saturday lunch. Arrived 5 minutes before noon to be greeted by a full car park. Looks like the rest of the area had decided to visit too! Well, it was a lovely sunny day. Almost everyone was sat outside. Despite refurbishment underway in the garden there seemed to be plenty of room for us all. I had the same meal. Still recommended.

The food is great! Staff are just the loveliest and the vibe is just right. Love that you can walk from the trail right into the beer garden!

Really nice pub. The roast was lovely. The car parking was too small so actually getting into a space was tough along with leaving it while having someone close behind you because they want the space. The coffee was too weak but other than that I would recommend the roast to anyone. The service too was really nice. Dogs are only allowed in one half of the pub. The restaurant was put in such a way that it would fit in as many people as possible so it was quite tight and quite loud too. Conversation was very tough on our table due to the noise .

We often go for a Sunday carvery as its probably as close as you going to get to a home made roast dinner. The food is delicious, the service is great and it has a lovely setting. If you not going on a s Sunday the ribs are a winner too!

Fantastic food, especiallythe battered fish sarnie and sharing platters, friendly staff! Great area for dog walking and lovely garden. Great Sunday roast too

A wonderful little pub! Wonderful selection of food and drink and a very cosy atmosphere. Will be going again! The food was well cooked, full of flavour and surged well. The pub looked amazing and twinkly lights everywhere made it very picturesque.

Fantastic spontaneous lunch with the Hubby!!! Food was simply sublime, the Brisket and Blue Cheese Foccaia was to die for!!! The service by Jack was really warm and welcoming ... every mouthful eaten and every minute there was just fab!!! Could not fault and would HIGHLY recommend x
