The Gulshan in Hart

Quite simply the best Indian meal I've EVER had!!!

Absolutely delicious food and wonderfully attentive staff. A wide range of dishes to suit all tastes, mild to extra spicy, dry to extra saucy. Catering for all diets including GF, Veggie, and Vegan (please just ask/give notice) Beer on tap as well as bottled, a nice range of wines and spirits. Always a genuinely warm welcome and lively buzzing atmosphere in a newly expanded and refurbished setting.

I came here last night, reason for the 2 star is that the service was poor in the middle of taking my tables order the person serving us just walked off and didn’t take the whole tables order with out saying anything when I tried to get his attention from walking away and not taking my order my response from the waiter was a 1 second finger to him disappearing then to see him walking around with the phone with out acknowledging my table then he finally come back to take my order, the service was also very slow.I would give this place 1 star but the reason I’m giving them 2 is because the food was good but would not return here and would not recommend, service is terrible.

Three of us ate there last night and were all really impressed with our food. Really friendly and attentive service too.

I've been going to the Gulshan for 35 years and it's always been one of my favourite restaurants. However, last night I decided to order a takeaway and it was extremely disappointing. Firstly, I had to call them twice because the food was late, but they just said it was "on it's way". When it did finally arrive, it had been nearly 2 hours from ordering. It was almost cold (I had to microwave it) and the food was well below the quality I would expect. I will never use their service again.

I just wanted to share my thoughts with people hoping to benefit from the government's eat in to help out scheme .As a family of 4 with 2 children we decided to try the Gulshan as they are on the list of restaurants offering the deal and as a part of celebrating a promotion.The menu seemed quite pricey compared to the last time I visited the Gulshan and considerably so to other Indian restaurants local in Fleet were my initial thoughts .I could not fault the meal and service absolutely delicious food ,the only disappointment was even though they advertise 50% eat in to help out the bill showed 40% managers discount which I feel is cheating the system which is designed to help businesses in our area through difficulties.My initial high priced menu thoughts made me think they are super inflated prices after seeing the bill .Gulshan you need to abide by the rules people want what the government are asking off businesses its 50% not 40% discount and lower your prices along with all other Indian restaurants in Fleet .Don't get caught out customers its not right .

I am not a reviews person but this was the worst takeaway I've ever had and I can't contact them until tomorrow now, besides I will probably only receive an offer of a free meal at best, which if it's like this one.......! Ok they delivered on time but that was all... The bag was leaking highly coloured oil, the foil dishes & the bag was really messy as though it had been in the back of a vehicle at high speed(!). It wasn't hot, the completely wrong dishes were delivered but I didn't realise until I'd got halfway through the meal, which I felt was good progress as the first mouthful was inedible, as far as I could tell it was the gristle end off a chicken drumstick (I hope it was only that!). The second bite wasn't much better, unsure what it was though! Only my second order with Deliveroo so I only realised when looking at my receipt that i had omitted to tip the restaurant........? I'm not doing Deliveroo or Gulshan again, I'll stick with who I know more local

Third time out of 3 order has been short. Gave 2nd and 3rd chance as food was really nice. This time again missing our starters, last time missing poppadoms and before that onion salad and mango chutney was missing. This is last time for me. Food cold and didn't taste nice, they tried to deliver same stuff again 10 mins later. Shows what a shambles they are. How hard is it to get an order right?

Staff were fantastic, very social and humorous. Menu is very catered towards the English palette and slightly more restricted than other curry houses I have been to.Service was quick and food was very good.Tends not to be overly busy on a weeknight so is a lovely alternative to the busier places down the main high street.
