The Leather Bottle in Hart

All was brilliant as usual at The Leather Bottle. The staff have always been so friendly and personable and the food was absolutely exquisite. Only the service could I give 4 stars rather than 5 as we weren't provided with a drinks or wine list, and one of us had a plate taken when they weren't finished yet. Also no fish knife for the fish dish ordered. Small things though in the bigger picture. The food could not be faulted by any one of us, the plaice dish especially was perfection. You can tell how successfully the pub is doing by all of the recent investment, especially in the outside area, it's really wonderful to see. This pub has always been a favourite of ours and we will always go back.

Went for lunch yesterday. I ordered a goats cheese, beetroot and hazelnut salad. I’ve ordered it before and it was amazing. Anyway, after a wait I was presented with a bowl of unwashed (gritty) lettuce. Two roughly cut pieces of goats cheese and two cubes of beetroot. No hazelnuts. I sent it back. They were apologetic and said the chef 🤔 had been sent the wrong lettuce! Sadly won’t risk going there again.

Lovely local pub. Recently renovated to a very high standard to suit all clientele. The food we enjoyed was very tastey and the staff were very attentive

One of the best Pubs , nice garden, big parking.

A small but brilliant menu. Really enjoyed our evening. Lots of busy tables and great service. The best pub in Hook (even though it isn't in Hook but we wish it was)

Food was lovely as always! Everyone was really friendly and service was perfect. We did only get one ice cream when asking for two but the lady deducted both off the bill! So can’t complain! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a Sunday meal, family meal, romantic, birthday and kind of celebration.

Had a lovely Mother's Day lunch here today in the freshly refurbished surroundings for 2022! The food was beautifully presented and cooked perfectly, and the service was excellent! Definitely warrants these five stars, and we absolutely have no hesitation in recommending the pub & restaurant. The outside area is also very inviting so looking forward to the Summer when we can sit outside relaxing in the sunshine! A massive thank you to all the team.....

Family friendly pub, good service and good food what more do you need when eating out.

Visited on a Wednesday lunchtime & only space was outside or in the bar so obviously a busy & respected pub. We ordered a small GF fish & chips and a leek & cheese quiche with salad both of which were delicious. The GF menu was good & clearly marked with waiting staff understanding about Gluten free diets. A selection of local real ales was good to see & we both enjoyed our lunch.

I enjoyed the food. The garlic bread with cheese is definitely something I would recommend getting, was one of my favourite items. The red pepper hummus with flat bread had a nice flavour and tanginess to it.The staff were friendly and welcoming as well.
