Have been a few times and had nice meals. Its a place not too far for us with not a lot of choice unless you travel. Went mid week - not a good experience, service and food. The order was incomplete, meals served separately, asked if we wanted sauces said no thanks initially, my dish had loads of leaves on it so went to the bar, as nobody came over to ask if all was ok with the meals to be told they haven't got mayonnaise or salad cream. My son wanted a pudding which he said was nice. We left soon after that and the bill was incorrect. They left themselves short. Did not point this out as I normally would have. I've noticed poor reviews on TA. Seems the place needs attention before it continues to lose more custom.

We have eaten here 3 times now. Service is fantastic and the staff are friendly and really helpful.Food on our first visit was sadly hit and miss, half of our group ordered the fillet steaks which were not cooked to our order. I brought mine home.The other part of our group ordered the pub classics and enjoyed them. We all enjoyed the starters we shared.We liked the pub enough to come back a second time and were not disappointed!! We all enjoyed our food.I have since visited a third time for lunch. There wasn't a special lunch menu, but on advise from the lovely helpful waitress (same one on all 3 occasions) ... had a really lovely lunch and enjoyed the food and coffee.I think something or someone in the kitchen has changed.I will happily recommend the Raven Inn to all my friends and family and can't wait to return.Lots of menu choices, lovely interior and a warm welcome.

Since Xmas myself and a staff member have been working on a Sunday. The office is a 5 min walk from The Raven and felt compelled to acknowledge the food we have received on such a very consistent scale for the last 3 months each and every Sunday. Many thanks.

If you're visiting Ammanford and the Black mountains, a trip to The Raven in Garnant is highly recommended. We arrived early evening, the manager made us feel very welcome and managed to find us a table despite preparing for a booked out night (tip there remember to book in advance) the menu was wide and varied catering for most tastes. When the food arrived it was well presented and very tasty. We will certainly be returning!

A lovely pub with great good. Recently had a lovely Sunday roast there which was really nice. I would have awarded 5 stars if the chef serving me hadn't been so stressed and rude! That aside, it's really worth going there.
