This pub and restaurant is in a great location. The outdoor space is quite big and enough space for a lot of people to socialise. It has a great view and it’s worth the visit for the view. The food isn’t anything great and would recommend going elsewhere in Clifton village to eat. It’s also quite expensive at £5 a pint of cider.

I stopped there just because wanted take some photos of the bridge. They're open from 12 and you can order food and drinks from restaurant (tasty pizza).Very nice view of the suspension bridge from the garden

Lovely drinks after a leisurely walk through Clifton and great views from their terrace. Really spectacular- 5 Stars

·

Just go for the view.It is obvious but just true. Nothing particular on the drinks or the food.Rather not on the food actually. That said you will enjoy the unique view point and it is still definitely worth it.Just go have a quick or long drink on the terrace depending how much time you have.

Great pub, tagged on to the Avon Gorge hotel. The views of the Clifton Bridge are fantastic from the rear of the pub. The food was superb and really plentiful and I would highly recommend it.

Honestly, I could be pushed from the balcony at this pub and it wouldn't even matter. This pub has quite simply the most majestic view of any pub I've ever visited. Drinks are fine, food is pretty good, but that view! The Clifton Suspension Bridge, Avon Gorge and view over the Cumberland Basin are simply unbeatable

Unless you are a local or in the know, you would never realise what a breath taking view of the clifton suspension bridge is offered on the rear balcony of this pub.A reasonable but limited choice of beers mainly lagers etc but it's well worth the visit. Good safe covid precautions practised here. A reasonable choice of food is available.

Abit hard to find as the postcode, that is given on the website, leads you to the bottom of the hill. It took us awhile to finally find it. Great place with friendly staff. The main thing was the view of the Clifton Bridge from its from its outdoor seating area. The view is really stunning 👍😁💥

Decided to visit White Lion after a year. Unfortunately their service only gotten worse. We sat down and had to install an app so we can order (not visit a website… install an application just to order our drinks). After we did that, the hot drinks category didn’t allow you to order any of items you see on the photo. After choosing other type of drinks and our food… guess what? Our table number (see photo) was not an option in the list of tables. After trying to get a staff member’s attention for 5-7 minutes we weren’t successful and simply left.White Lion seem to do very well on consistency; unfortunately they choose to provide bad service and experience consistently.

While the view and the terrace is worth a visit, there were a couple of issues: serving wine in plastic glasses is just not acceptable for these prices. Also I asked if they were serving aperol spritzer, which I've had before here, and was told it was on the app, which it clearly wasn't. After the staff trying to update the app, it still didn't appear. Very limited beer selection, and although I saw bottled morretti, it wasn't available on the app. Staff seem a bit young to really bother with sorting out these problems, management should do better..
