Bite2Eat in Hastings

Fantastic authentic Thai in the heart of Hastings. Having recently visited Bangkok we were looking for a Thai restaurant that could match the quality of the food we ate there. We came across Siam 2 by chance and we were warmly greeted by the owners. We had the vegetable spring rolls which were just right and the seafood hotpot. The hotpot soup was delicious and the seafood generous. We finished with fried banana and ice cream which was very good. The owners are very welcoming and attentive which makes for a great experience. Well recommended.

I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants but Siam 2 blows them all away.The staff were lovely and attentive. The food was amazing and clearly prepared by care.The whole evening was just lovely and we will definitely be back again.

Our second visit. First one was ok, so we gave it another go. We like to patronise all our local establishments. Saturday evening, we arrived to find that our reservation had been forgotten. We ordered a bottle of Rioja and jug of water and were surprised to be given the half-filled jug of water from the departing table behind us. Our food order was eventually, and we waited.And waited, and waited.Meanwhile, takeaway orders kept being collected at the counter whilst customer at tables (of which there are 5 altogether, it’s a tiny place, supposedly part of its charm) looked at each other in disbelief, and chocked due to inhaling fumes of burning chilli seeping from the kitchen. No explanation offered, no apology received for the wait. Not even a complimentary cracker offered. When after one hour and 20 minutes our starters arrived they were wrong. We cancelled the order, paid for the wine, and left. Disappointed, upset, and hungry.It is a takeaway joint. Not a restaurant. Not a clue of customer service. Enter at your peril.

Really nice. Menu is simple. Food is wonderful. Loved the prawns in filo pastry. Delicate. Nice wine selection and such a friendly patron. Highly recommended.

This was our 5th annual visit. Delicious food on this trip, as always, we couldn't fault it. Quaint and quirky. But make sure you book in advance to not be disappointed.

After visiting Siam 2 last night, I doubt I will enjoy a nicer Thai resturant. The service was amazing, with our food being served super fresh and piping hot, all in good time and together. Our glasses were refilled promptly and I felt were were looked after impeccably, with friendly warm conversation each time our table was attended. We spoke about traditional Thai food amongst other things and left feeling like we soaked up some culture. Siam 2 feels authentic and I would be quick to recommend!

Awful food. Tasteless and cold. Would give less than a star if I could. There was gristle in the meat and the food is very overpriced for its poor standard. The presumed manager, 'Wow' as she calls herself is very rude, negligent and clearly does not care for making her restaurant welcoming. She is very rude to her staff in front of customers which is very unprofessional, and makes for an awkward dining experience, as if it wasn't bad enough. She has staff with very aggravated, visible dermatitis serving food which is very, uncomfortable. The male who was also very rude, was leering at my 14 yr old daughter. Needless to say We would never eat here again.

Everything was wrong, our only night out in Hastings was overcast by our dinner choice.

First class dining experience with great food and hospitality.

Excellent food, service, wine etc, etc. Even when busy, Siam 2 still keeps up a high level of service whilst serving amazing food. They also have a nice wine list to work through too!
