Blue Dolphin Fish Bar in Hastings

Fish was greasy ,not crispy like batter should be,chips cold and the portion of mushy peas was so small couldn’t even see them.When we told the waitress she sent the chef out ,on his way over with his filthy apron on he stopped too let 2 dogs lick his hands ! He was very rude and disagreed with everything my husband and I said.We had just moved too hastings and was very disappointed needless too say we won’t be recommending the blue dolphin too anybody or going back ourselves and the chef needs too learn some manners ,he was very rude and it was uncalled for,if there is a problem you should be able too say,he had no intention of sorting things out,just too say we did pay aswell…what a joke..

We had a wonderful experience here, both with the food and the staff. My mother in law and sister in law were both visiting from the states. My mum in law is 86yrs and uses a wheelchair. The young man (Zack) was so helpful getting her into the place and sitting her down, also helping her out after. She even got a hug!! Both he and the young lady there made a visit funny and so welcoming! This is by far the best chippy in Hastings!

Had Cod, Chips & Mushy Peas with a cup of Tea for just over a tenner. Good value, quick service & friendly staff. Very nice.

Possibly the best fish and chips in Hastings. Fish is always moist and fresh unlike other shops. Also it’s nice that the warm shelf has fish or battered sausage or a savaloy in. Not worrying if the kebab is burning or if the wok has set alight. Just a good old fashioned fish and chip shop. (That does scraps)

Great fish and chips but only if you don't mind waiting 20 minutes like we did.

In previous years, this was a major tourist attraction. Now, sadly, it's a dump. Facilities rubbish! No toilets, cash only, very small seating area. Food, however, still excellent. Cleanliness was questionable, staff looked grubby. Won't be going back.

The Best fish n chops in Hastings! Need I say more, there is something about the way they cook the food... Its delicious and always cooked to perfection on time, prices are very reasonable to.

The crew make fabulous fresh fish and chips made to order. You might need to wait longer on a busier day. Like most old places it needs an update but don’t fret they make great product. I took one star away for two reasons. The fish should have spent longer on a rack for the oil to drip. It’s a delicious crisp batter covering a succulent fish inside but I assume the lads are in a rush to keep their customers fed and watered and most probably don’t mind… its fried food right? i suspect this might be the reason some reviews mention grease. The other little personal niggle is if you like mayo on your chips, they only do cheap not very nice tasting little sachets. Paid for. I really would much rather pay double but get a glob of nice thick mayo instead. Like Dutch chip shops do!Enjoy!

Reasonably priced cooked to order FISH & CHIPS. Clean and friendly staff. Sadly lacking toilet facilities and cash only, no cards taken.

Chips as they should be. I was brought up on the south coast, and ended up moving to London. Now I can't get decent chips unless I come back to the seaside. Decently priced, very nice portion sizes. I will definitely come here again.
