Hong Kong Garden in Hastings

First time purchasing food from here, must say the food quality is absolutely horrible, ordered few different items and they're all just as bad as other, wouldn't class this as Chinese.

I can't fault Hong Kong garden. Been to loads of places and think this is the best. Generous portions. Piping hot. Good service.

Great food, quick collection, always piping hot and good value, would purchase from here time and time again.

Delivered rotten food and very rude and argumentative when I called to complain. Have reported to food standards agency. Genuinely the chicken in the dish I received was grey, rancid and smelled awful.

We ordered two hours ago and have still not received our food. This was for a birthday celebration! Tried to phone but strangely hey are constantly engaged. How greedy to take so many orders you obviously can’t fulfill! Terrible!

First ordered from here many years ago. Started off well, but over the years declined. This time was the last straw. Food was inedible. Unless you enjoy eating, tyres passed off as squid and chicken you could use as a squash ball avoid at all costs. Paying £40 for a takeaway and getting a meal a homeless person would turn their nose up at is far from acceptable. Phoning up and complaining only ended up with being offered a 'free' main next time. NEXT TIME? Surely times like these you would ensure quality is at it's best? Not these guys. Avoid!

!!!WARNING!!!This place is a total shambles. The order was placed to arrive at 730pm. The order arrived, however at 630pm, before all the people had arrived for the food, so totally useless to us. A call was made to the restaurant where we were told that it was their fault and the order would be sent again at 730pm. 730pm came and went where at 8pm we called again. We were promised that they would look into it and get back to us....no phone call was returned. We then called again where we were told the order has been remade. I asked to be compensated where they told me that they would give us some free drinks. This was then to be redacted as the the driver had already left. I was also told that the old order (now freezing cold and sat by the door) should be given to the driver when they attend. It’s now 811pm and here we are still waiting. I used to use this place a lot, I’m afraid we no longer will be. They have been reported to just eat. DO NOT USE THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU WANT YOUR FOOD ON TIME!!!

We collected it after we found out it was going to take an hour and a half. Only took 30 mins. The best Chinese I've had for a while. Bursting with flavours and not too greasy. I'd highly recommend this Chinese.

We've always gone to this Chinese and we've never had a problem but last night was a joke. I know It was New Years but omg. We ordered food at 6:30pm through Just Eat and It said It'd be with us at 7.05pm and It didn't arrive till 9:50pm, no discount or money back either. Luckily the food was still hot and good but In the future, If you can't keep up with orders then you should just only accept a certain amount. Last night put us off and by the time food came we weren't hungry anymore. If you want food, better just go In and order and wait. Probably be a lot faster that way. I would recommend but just don't do delivery.

Will never order from here again! Ordered yesterday through just eat. It said delivery time would be 9:45pm (which was already over an hour and a half of waiting and very late for us to be eating!) But we didn't want the hassle of cancelling the order, so waited. At 10:05pm the order still hadn't arrived, so I rang the restaurant. They said it had already been delivered!! Queue lots of arguing between the staff and delivery driver in the background. He was then put on the phone, said that he had delivered it to "some old lady who answered the door". (Me and my husband are in our 30's, there's no old lady who lives here!!) By this point I had been arguing with them (and them arguing between themselves) for over 30 mins! They refused point blank to refund us. Said they would cook more food and deliver it. At this point it's nearly 10:45pm and they would still have to cook and deliver the meal again. Hubby has work in the morning and I have a newborn baby and a toddler to deal with (who luckily had eaten and were in bed hours ago). Told them that although we were starving, we needed sleep, so just wanted refund. They still refused!! They were extremely rude to me and Said they would have to ring just eat tomorrow to argue it out with them to get us a refund! We weren't happy with this, so rang just eat ourselves, luckily they were still open, they refunded us immediately thankfully. But we still went to bed hungry and very angry! Avoid like the plague! Not worth the agro and staff very rude and unhelpful!
