I really enjoying visiting here to watch a film. It is a quirky little place with plenty of atmosphere. The restaurant is always full and the food looks and smells good.

Lovely quirky bar /cafe / cinema. Comfy bijou cinema with its own bar inside. Cafe has interesting artistic bits lying about. Didn’t sample any food but would happily return to do so and hang out there watching alternative St Leonard’s go by

Nice place but don't use the WC before you have sat down and ordered something. I walked straight up to it and was Basil Fawlty barked at by a bespectacled gentleman who asked "can I help you?" - nearly said yes. He could have come in and held my bag or ran the tap for me. Maybe it's a new service they are offering.

What a heck with the Russian army symbols on the doors... It's the same as to have a Z all over it :(In Soviet heraldry, the red star symbolized the Red Army and military service, as opposed to the hammer and sickle, which symbolized peaceful labour.

Wonderful experience. Comfortable, roomy, bar in the cinema, what's not to like?

I fabulousI venue where the old meets the new. Some wonderful original features while bringing in the modern touches. A great theatre/cinema, lovely free range burgers, the only criticism was my friend's steak could have been bigger. He is a giant ex ruby player and needs a big steak.

Arts spaces in and around St Leonard's-on-Sea are all worth a visit. This one is like a newly discovered jewel. Lovely environment and staff are cool and helpful. We had a delicious meal followed by a very comfortable viewing of a great well chosen British movie. We'll definitely be returning.

My wife and I decided to go for our first visit here and attend an evening of music with Jon Cleary. The venue is just superb, welcoming, comfortable, airy and unpretentious. We were seated by the bar in comfortable chairs and had a great view of the stage. The host was charming, very hardworking, and efficient behind the bar, serving everyone with smile and a great deal of charm. The ticket prices were very reasonable, and I thought that the prices of the drinks on offer were exceptionally reasonable too. We shall certainly return, and are now keeping our eyes on forthcoming events as I understand that tickets soon get snapped up, which is not surprising. There is a restaurant within too which we have yet to try and we will do that soon I hope.

I have mixed opinions but I'll start with the good...The space is beautifully laid out, it feels modern and has a mix of art works and sculptures.The food looked and smelt beautiful, though we did not purchase food as there was nowhere to sit down.The drinks prices were incredibly reasonable.Inside the cinema the space was huge and surprisingly warm and the seating wasn't terrible. The leg room was a plus. And having a bar inside the theatre was a great idea as you don't have to miss a second of the film.The bad points were....When we arrived, it was our first visit, so we weren't overly sure on where to go and staff weren't very helpful.The front rows, which all had comfy sofas and armchairs were all reserved yet there was no option to reserve these seats when we booked tickets, we would have happily paid extra but no option was given and we booked a long time in advance.There were about a thousand adverts... Its independent cinema so I get it, it has to be that way, but it was irritating.The sound was quite bad, the background music was playing from a speaker which was distinctly louder than the speakers playing the main dialogue. It was quite distracting and I missed parts of the dialogue and there were some big marks across the screen which were noticeable.Ultimately, location and leg room made this a better choice than standard cinemas and I'll go again to try the food as it really looked amazing! And to see smaller businesses flourish in St leonards is so great!But for sound and picture I wasn't satisfied

Wonderful community venue with cinema that becomes a dance floor, café, bar, etc etc... Every area should have one. Worth coming down from the big smoke for Wendy May's Locomotion night.
