Very pleasant waiter but food not up to much unless you like tour food covered in Spicy BBQ sauce. Glad we tried but not for us.

We tried a variety of dishes and they were either okay or below average. If you're Caribbean, you will be disappointed as it definitely doesn't compare to a home cooked meal but it's decent enough. The best thing was the curry goat and jollof rice. The jerk chicken was more like BBQ chicken, the cassava had a slightly bitter aftertaste. Think we had a bad batch of the chicken curry as the spices weren't cooked properly and it had a slightly watery consistency. Everything in general lacked spices and pepper but I guess they are catering to a British population, I just wish they didn't water it down so much though. When we gave feedback to the staff, they were too defensive and came up with many excuses instead of trying to rectify the issue, no offer of a discount to compensate. I wouldn't go again but I wish them well because the people of Hastings seem to enjoy at least.

A disappointment considering the other reviews. Extremely slow service. Starter arrived same time as main. Forgot to send out a side and the wrong rice was delivered to table. Another couple got up a left due to the long wait for food. The portion sizes for the platter were small. Oxtail very fatty and too much bone.

Highly impressed, really good quality food, amazingly friendly costumer service, beautiful atmosphere into an artistic ethnically decorated place, went to try, repeat the following day and definitely will go back next time I am back at Saint Leonard's, highly recommend.

If you enjoy delicately spiced dishes come here to eat in our neighbourhood restaurant, barely 10 mins walk for us..or bring the flavours home with takeaway. Recently, we’ve eaten here 3 times and tonight (1/10/20) had a takeaway at home.Can’t speak highly enough about the smiles and the delicious flavours the chefs bring to the many different curries and individual Caribbean or African dishes.It’s worth the journey.

Absolutely amazing food.The menu here is simply amazing and is the best West African / Jamaican restaurant around. The jerk chicken is superb absolutely Banging!Curried goad delicious. The prawns are also delicious with such flavour.I highly recommend this restaurant friendly helpful team who will help you decide.Good value I will be back soon.Very safe for Covid19 too hand sanitisation at the door QR code for checking in and safe distances between each table

Tasty food, good size, hospitable friendly host. Stylish setting. £26 for 1 goat pepper soup, 2 pieces of jerk chicken, jollof rice and 1 carrot cake with ice cream.

We celebrated our son's 2nd birthday there and had such a lovely time. We did not expect the food, music and experience to be that great( especially that we are quite hard to please). Thank you Jerry for such a lovely experience!! May God bless your business abundantly
