We came here on our wedding day with our friends. We wanted somewhere quirky with good food and service. We were not disappointed. What a fantastic cafe, it is very cute, the food is authentic thai, presentation is lovely and the flavours in the dishes out of this world. Nothing was ever a problem, the staff were lovely and friendly. We even had photos of our Colin Caterpillar with indoor sparklers, cutting of the cake for our wedding lol. It was the most perfect evening, thank you so much for making it so special for us. We will definitely be back when we come to Hastings again.

Thank you for a fantastic evening, it was a perfect end to our wedding day. We all loved the food, the presentation was lovely, it was authentic Thai food and just amazing flavours. The bookshop is romantic and cute. A great place to celebrate something special and a fantastic memory for all of us. We wanted somewhere quirky, with fantastic food and good service, this little gem of a restaurant definitely lived up to all of this. We even had our Colin the Caterpillar cake cutting photos done here too. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back

This place is a must! We loved the quirky restaurant and the service was amazing. Probably worth a mention that the food was first rate; a nice simple menu with nice simple pricing. Definitely recommend!

First time in St Leonard’s and this restaurant was recommended to us. There were 4 adults and 4 children. They were very accommodating for our children in splitting the meals onto separate plates for them to share. Also making the meals very mild for them and they loved it.The opinion of the 4 adults was that it was the best Thai we’ve ever had. We’re getting a takeaway from here on our last night.Gorgeous food, excellent service and a lovely quirky atmosphere.

Wonderful meal here this week, Abby was a great waitress and very attentive. The food was absolutely fantastic, highly recommend. We were sat in the 'poetry' and 'politics' section. Also catered really well to gluten free and vegetarian diets.

Absolutely incredible food in an incredibly quirky setting. Food was fresh and service was quick. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I'm a fussy eater and don't like spicy food so loved that I could choose how hot I wanted my meal, from mild, medium, hot or Thai hot. Couldn't fault a thing!

Great setting between bookshelfs. Fantastic starters. BYOB so I brought a bottle of white wine, £2pp corkage.Slightly disappointed by their special Beef Massaman curry, beef was a bit tough even though its 5 hour slow cooked. Set menu £17pp for 2 courses, more expensive than I had expected.Recommend getting the thai prawn crackers and 2 dipping sauces, everyone seemed to be getting it and it was worth the £2! Amazing sauces. Food was served quickly.

Ambience : 4/5Service: 5/5Food: 4/5Price: ££A cute little bookshop turned into a Thai café. Run an owner by one of the most humble human beings in hastings according to me. He owner will welcome you by bowing towards you and every time she sees you off she does he same, she comes in and checks often on how he food is and makes things on special request if necessary. The staff is a small one and he one who waited on me was extremely sweet and welcoming as well.I can’t emphasise enough on how cozy and comfortable this cafe is. If you’re someone who loves books and Thai food trust me you have to come here! It would be a terrible if you missed this amazing spot with fantastic food.Moving towards the food: It starts off with the generous helping of prawn crackers with the homemade sweet sauce and a little tangy and sweet sauce, super fresh and not fishy smelling at all which I was happy about. For starters I ordered the mango salad and satay chicken, I can still taste that amazing sauce on my tongue , the peanut sauce was the perfect portion for the chicken and it was in a marinade so perfectly matched. For the mains I ordered the green Thai curry which was quite okay but I wouldn’t highly recommend it, I preferred the stir fry chicken with Thai basil and veggies which was yummy.Watch out for Pad Thai as it is super addictive to have, there is no such thing as just one bite, the meat is perfectly cooked the balance of the flavours was fantastic, I was impressed by this Pad Thai. For the dessert, I was initially quite skeptical about ordering anything but the sticky rice and mango, but they had a lemon tart with a simple homemade vanilla ice cream , I am someone who is quite weak in he knees for a good lemon tart, I kid you not, this was probably one of the best I’ve had from an Asian restaurant, it was bitter but the ice cream perfectly complimented it. I was just so thankful in that moment because it was too good to be true.I highly recommend this café.Pro tip-1) as it’s a small café do make sure to call and make reservations as it might be hard to get a table otherwise.2) they only accept cash and not cardsCheers.
