Seagull Restaurant in Hastings

Possibly the best fish and chips I've ever eaten. I decided to try this place simply because it doesn't look like all the other chippers on the seafront and so pleased I did. Everything was freshly cooked and the portions are definitely on the generous side.In fact it was so good I made a return visit a week later.

Seriously the best fish and chips I have ever had! The fish was beautifully fresh and the batter and the chips were so crispy! The seagull/seaside themed restaurant is also licenced, so you can enjoy a beer or wine with your meal. The owner is a great guy - really friendly and generous - and the prices are very sensible. I will certainly return to have more when I'm back in the area!

Stopped for lunch at 1066 fish bar in Hastings. Staff so helpful with my partner with mobility issues. Our meal was cooked to order, the haddock and scampi was 1st class. Nice small cafe also has outside tables and does take a way.

Staff were soo friendly & welcoming. Food was lovely & i tried a battered saveloy never had one before or even seen it on a menu before & it was delicious! Highly recommended.

I love fish 'n' chips but rarely order as it's usually such a let down. That is certainly not the case here. The chips were lovely and crispy in the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The fish was a really good size, we ordered the medium and could only just finish it, and nice and tasty the batter was really nice and crispy as well. Service was good and the owners were really friendly, I will definitely be returning!

First time ordering here. Waited nearly 20 minutes for to 2 portions of chips. There wasn't even a cue. Got home to open up the worst portion of chips I've ever bought in this town over the last 24 year. Just rubbish, greasey little bits. I don't think there was actually a single full length cut chip.

Best fish and chips I've ever had! And the calamari? Crispy on the outside and soft squid not chewy..it's a must try! It was very delicious. Excellent service. My 2 kids loves the sweet treat. Definitely will come back.

Best fish and chips l have ever had , mushy peas to die for, my sister had the skate which she said was beautiful. Staff very attentive and friendly. Well done. Xxx

There are so many places for fish and chips and hasting and we decided to try the Seagull. But we where disappointed, both chips and fish weren't crispy but soft, almost mushy. Can't recommend it.
