Really can not fault a single thing. I walked in on a busy Sunday service hungry as a horse having walked the length of Hastings with no sign of a Veggie Roast to be had. Welcomed, accommodated and fed with an A star star service. That is how it should be and the food was glorious with enough to satisfy. Happiest customer of the day!

The Anchor Inn is magical! An instant homely feel with a relaxed and warm welcome from the staff. The food is home cooked with no fuss, a fair price and generous sized portions. There is a large ancient looking open fire stacked high with chopped logs, and lots of cozy corners in the pub to enjoy good food, good company and the warm atmosphere. This is a home from home!

Very friendly pub in the heart of the " old town".I re discovered it on a very wet Christmas eve.it has changed quite a bit since I first discovered it, but still remains a fantastic local.

The Anchor in George St, Old Town Hastings is ,and always has been one of the few 1st class pubs I know in Hastings Old Town. Since 1984 when I moved to Hastings. The landlord and his lady are a wonderful example of what it is to great,welcoming pub. Check the food out,it's exactly like mama used to make. All the best 👍to all of them.
