The Royal in Hastings

For a meal with a friends, Sunday roast or eve an afternoon tipple this a great destination. It’s in a colourful town, my most recent trip involved been recited a poem about princess Diana by local.

Very tasty meals! The soup I had was French style, The chips was very thick and crispy, local fish was super. They has many reasonable but good wines.It was unexpected fantastic things because I though it was just pub.

Food was much higher standard than I expected, not traditional pub. Super lovely staff. All in all an excellent experience

Came in for a pint before my train and ended up having a few more. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back when in the area. Thanks to staff and management for making it such a nice visit! Highly recommend!

What a gem of a place. Outwardly a smart but otherwise ordinary station pub. Inside a welcoming smile and efficient table service. Good beer and splendid wine. Gradually you realise there is a restaurant area away from the main bar. The food is superb. There is real care and expertise taken with the cooking here. I had a delicious hake, crab samphire and new potatoes dish which was fabulous. I highly recommend this place. Right by St Leonards Station, well worth a visit.

Yummy little gastropub. Food was excellent and staff were super helpful. Beetroot arancini and cod were superb.

Great selection of delicious gastro food served by helpful quality team. The service and menu here is excellent.There is a variety of meat and vegetarian dishes and the food is cooked fresh and tastes superb. The wine and drinks menu is also quality and every time I have been I have received first class service.The squid starter I highly recommend along with the celeriac soup.Location is great opposite St Leonards Warrior Square Station.

Good delicious quality food. Hallibut was slightly overcooked, but partner found it fine.Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us.

Great food and good service. We had the lamb to share and the chocolate fritters which both came well recommended by the waiter. The lamb was extremely tender and the romesco very tasty. The baked onions were my favourite. The ice cream was the highlight of the dessert for, complimenting the fritters really well.

Excellent experience all around - friendly service, top notch foods, and pleasant, comfortable, clean atmosphere. Pro tip: add a shot of bourbon to your affogato for an extra treat.We'll be back!
