Since moving to Hastings in December this has become our favourite place for a drink. Friendly staff, clean, and lovely garden. Mojitos are lovely!

Had a beautiful roast on Sunday, was really impressed. They were busy and they informed us there was an hour wait so we had a drink. Have to say it was really worth the wait and I'm definitely going back for another Sunday roast.

Came here for a lazy afternoon drink and stayed for several. Really relaxed atmosphere, the lady on duty was really welcoming and conversational, and she was spinning some great vinyl!

Very laid back pub. Nice and busy with seating outside, inside and a beer garden out the back.

We knocked on the door just before opening time on a Sunday morning and we're still warmly welcomed by the bubbly staff. The food choice was a bit restricted for a Sunday but the food we chose was absolutely delicious. A lovely environment and perfect location in Hastings!

Went on a Saturday afternoon with 15 fellow members of the cycling club and enjoyed a delicious pizza (thanks, Lydia) , pint of Guinness and warm, friendly atmosphere. Good music playing in the background, real log fire.Really relaxing, enjoyable pub to which I shall return!

The Royal Standard is a traditional public house owned by Shepherd Neame, England's oldest brewery, and located on the Hastings seafront. It offers a decent selection of hand-pumped ales along with the usual range of lagers & all things alcoholic. It oozes a comfy atmosphere inside, like a good community pub usually does. Had a couple of beers there during my day trip to Hastings & Rye, and the beers were fresh and crisp. Staff were very friendly and down-to-earth indeed. Solid pub grub is also available, and there's a pleasant outside seating area, too. Recommended.
