Me and 3 others came to The Welcome for their lunch menu as we've heard Its relatively good. Anyway, satdown on the sticky table, ordered food. 1 bowl of chips2 The Welcome Burgers and 1 katsu burger. Both of TheWelcome burgers were pink inside, practically abreathing cow in buns. I took them both to the bar andtold the kitchen it's raw. The manager who I believe hername is Hayley, was sat on a table near the bar andtried convincing me to say it was cooked. And said 'itsa steak'. Either it was false advertisement or iust apoorly cooked burger. She replaced it with a katsuburger in compensation. Hayley then stated that thekitchen staff checked it 3 times and probed it to 85F.This is well below what it should have been. Alsogetting onto the Katsu Burger, it had very little currysauce in there, if any. Tasted like a plain chicken burgerYou'd be better off going Wetherspoons. As we wereleaving, she kept convincing us that it was cooked. Iyou're thinking on going, I'd reconsider ordering any ofthe 2 burgers. Overall, was disappointed in our visit

Friendly and approachable service from people who obviously care about what they are doing. Menu needs some clarity though - we were informed after ordering that the scallops starter is not included in the roast dinner 2 and 3 course offer. This should be made clear on the menu; or at least before people order. I was being treated to the meal as a thank you so I was a bit embarrassed my choices would end up costing my sister more than expected and she couldn't really say "oh, you'll have to choose something cheaper" could she? So we had to say it's okay which it wasn't really. The scallops were cooked through but they weren't seared/caramelised on the outside at all - a much hotter pan required. We ordered a mix of beef and lamb but both only got beef. The roasts, linguini and desserts were lovely - clearly quality ingredients. The cheese platter was extremely generous and tasty. Overall, great food despite a few niggles. The front of house and kitchen are clearly very dedicated which we really appreciate as caterers ourselves.

Not a massive variety for Vegan or Veggie. Some basics missing such as oat milk for coffee or vegan cheese. Seems to be run by a bit of a Karen judging by the overheard convos lol 😆

Pubs don’t normally do great food, and we find it hard to find good decent family meals in Hastings (if I’m honest)However, The Welcome have smashed it.We wasn’t expecting this level of food from our local pub, close to gourmet level grub, AMAZING juicy burger 🍔, fat chips, crazy good Steak 🥩 even the tomatoes 🍅 were crazy tasty 👅Friendly and a great price.Well done, Welcome 🙏Highly recommended.

The Welcome are absolutely fantastic. On one of their busiest Days, Easter day, and after we had been let down, they fitted us all in. 3 adults and 2 children. The food was absolutely beautiful, fresh & quick to be served I can't recommend this establishment high enough. Can't wait to go back.

We had our wedding reception here. The staff are absolutely outstanding, waiting times to be served are so quick and with a smile. We had a prearranged buffet for our guests and the quality and quantity of the food was 1st class, they even catered for some of our guests needing a gluten free selection. Lots of our guests have complemented the food, staff and presentation of the venue. We thank all the staff at the welcome for making our evening run so well.Pictured is the buffet provided by the welcome for 30 people, there was easily enough food for 15 to 20 more people.
