Amazing restaurant with fantastic menu service and cocktails.Great hidden gem that has a vast menu of local fish meats and vegetarian options. The specials included lots of fish dishes and I tried the monkfish special and it was superbAlso I am able to highly recommend the Haddock with mash potatoes in a white sauce with a poached egg. Some of the best tasting haddock fish I have tried and would give any gastro fish restaurant a run for its money.Service was first class and the whole experience was excellent. Reasonabe prices and a great location. Lovely to sit outside in summer!

Was visiting Hasting for the weekend and came across this lovely restaurant. Food was served fresh and hot. Recommend trying the desserts, they are delicious and most are homemade. The waitresses were very attentive and always checked up on us to make sure we were okay or if we needed anything. They have a few tables on the ground floor and more upstairs. The ambience was very beautiful and we really enjoyed it. ❤️

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! From start to finish the service was incredible and the food did not disappoint either. No idea what the low reviews are on about but its nice to see the owner sticking up for their business and staff in the comments, clearly extremely passionate and it shows. Delicious!

Ok lets start with the positives... Great food, great setting, great service, good ambience. However... When we were shown to our table we were told that certain dishes on the menu were not available, one being salmon which is my wife's favourite also the soup as a starter was also not available (not too worried about that!). I requested some skewered chicken (i think it was chicken!) And my wife ordered scallops, after ordering i was told very politely and apologetically that the skewers were not available either and had to pick something else. Settled on beef strips. Starter was great! For main i had lamb steak which was fantastic, my wife ordered the Haddock... then it kind of went wrong, the Haddock was tiny (about 3 inches) served in a bowl, with a poached egg and some kind of mash... the poached egg was hard boiled and the mash was very sloppy, the meal itself was not very big for a main meal. We asked the waitress if the egg was poached and in all fairness we were offered another egg to which we declined. After finishing the main, we were offered the dessert menu but were told that 3 of the 7 desserts were not available! We decided to leave dessert and settle up. I struggled writing this review because there were so many positives but ultimately it came down to this...we booked our table at 7.30pm and they were unable to offer us all the things on the menu, I hate to think what would have been available had i booked for say 9.30pm! However, the waitress did not charge us for my wife's drink because of the problem with the egg and the service was fantastic as was my meal. Yes i would recommend this restaurant, but my note to the owner/staff would be to ensure you have enough food throughout the day and evening to offer to customers.

Food was fantastic, service top notch. Couldn’t fault it at all. Comfortable, cosy venue. Felt very welcomed and valued and the food was lovely. If you’re thinking of coming here, definitely do, 100% worth the money

Absolutely incredible meal in a quaint and rustic restaurant. Dominantly fish based menu and was pricey but worth every penny. Staff were friendly, service was prompt and the cocktails were a bit too moreish. Starters were the scallops and the chimichurri beef, mains were the monkfish with Parma ham and the seabass with pesto, desserts were sticky toffee pudding and rumbustian and lime cheesecake. Couldn't have faulted a thing!

Wow!! This is definitely one of hastings hidden gems. A charming place serving up some delightful and delicious courses packed with interesting flavours and exceptional presentation. Theres a Good selection on the specials board which mainly includes locally sourced fresh fish. But there is also a good selection of meat dishes to. The starters looked so good we ordered 3 for the two of us to share. Good selection of wines and cocktails and a delightful draft lager which I much prefer to bottled. I'm not really a desert person but decided after such a pleasant meal to share the warm chocolate brownie and it didn't disappoint. The perfect end to a perfect dinning experience. I discovered this place when down from London on a Friday night when visiting friends in hastings for the weekend, after the evening meal I booked the restaurant for Saturday lunch I was that impressed. The chef and table staff are extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful and I found the pricing of the food extremely fair for the quality. This restaurant would definitely not be out of place in the city of London and the lucky people of hastings have this on there door step so they should definitely come out to support it. I'll definitely be back for more.
