Great location and good atmosphere. Staff are excellent and very personable. Food is seafood oriented as you would expect, being right on the seashore. Lovely fresh fish, hake was delicious and panache was full of variety of seafood. Pay and display (Ringo) car parking can be an issue locally but not insurmountable. Highly recommended.

The food was absolutely amazing. Have to say I'm not a fish lover but hubby is. I had the Jacobs ladder, it is right up there with the best meals I have ever eaten. Hubby had to choose between Mussels and Scallops. So he had one as a starter and one as the main. He thoroughly enjoyed both but the Mussels just pipped the post. The staff were really attentive. They didn't try and rush the next course on to you. We just had to let them know when we were ready for the next course. Cannot wait to go back. Recommend to everyone

Amazing food and amazing service! We walked in at around 1:30 on a unseasonably sunny Tuesday afternoon, the restaurant was full other than one table for two. aAlistair served us, he was apologetic that the service would be a little slower than usual because it was busier than usual for the time of season due to the weather. However, I didn't feel as though the service was unreasonably slow at all. He was charming, friendly and attentive, he paid great attention to us, asked about our plans for the day and made recommendations about what to do in town which we appreciated. We both really enjoyed our starters and mains, the food is under priced for the quality and presentation! We'll be back soon!

Warm welcome from Alastair and team, fresh cockles and bread followed by beautifully presented freshly steamed local fish with vegetables followed by melt in the mouth desserts. Good portions, lovely ambience - watch action in the open plan kitchen with chef skillfully prepping fresh oysters - sunshine streaming in... too busy enjoying to take photos...

nice clean looking restaurant inside and out. service good. food ok. oysters and sprats were nice but the fish and chips could be improved. the cod was mushy and watery in the middle, mushy peas not very memorable and the chips were a bit too crunchy on the outside.

We were in Hastings to meet up with family, and they suggested this as a place for dinner for the four of us. It was within walking distance from our hotel and this gave us the opportunity to build an appetite up.Brilliant welcome, and shown straight to the table, staff welcoming and friendly. We were given menus and ordered drinks. The atmosphere was good within the restaurant and there a reasonable number of diners enjoying their meals.Starters of scallops where very good, onto mains, my partner went for fillet of sea bream, which she enjoyed enormously, I went for the Jacob’s ladder this was OK, probably as I was suffering from food envy, thinking that I should had sea food! The beef was good, but the old adage of eat sea food in a sea food restaurant rings true!Would we go again yes!!! And this time I will explore the seafood.

Stopped off at Webbes by chance on a wet Saturday afternoon. Fully booked at 1pm but we were able to sit outside. And how glad we were. The food was absolutely stunning. My husband had a spicy seafood gumbo with Belly of pork and I had 3 dishes of the taster menu. Rare beef and mushroom salad, ham hock croquettes with mustard mayo and courgette and aubergine tempura with onion and cucumber dip.The food was outstanding, red wine was delicious and great prices. If you are ever in Hastings make sure you take a look but definitely book, unless you don't mind sitting outside bin the elements, though blankets are provided. You will not be sorry!!. 🦀🦐🐙

Wonderful meal. Friendly and efficient service from all the staff, and very tasty food that looked as good as it tasted. Smoked fish starter, plaice, hake and chicken skewers were all perfect, and some delicious desserts. Well worth a visit.
