White's Seafood and Steak Bar in Hastings

We came for a birthday meal. We called the restaurant and spoke to Leanne who was accommodating as we were running late! As we arrived, we were greeted by the team and Leanne took us to our table and served as well. We had two squid and one tiger prawns starters - absolutely delicious! They were succulent!We then had two seabass mains, one special of three fishes and a mussels selection. All the foods were excellent and are highly recommended! The fish are fresh and well prepared.This is an amazing restaurant on a nice tucked away part of Hastings, near the seafront. We will visit again when we return to Hastings. Thank you to the chefs, management and special shout out to Leanne, on her first night back to work - absolute star!

Some of the most delicious seafood I have ever had. The service is spectacular and really makes you feel at home. If you are ever in Hastings you need to stop by and grab a bite.

A cosy restaurant. Fish and chips was very good however the 'bloody Mary prawn and salmon cocktail' had nothing to do with bloody Mary and was just a normal seafood cocktail with a giant shrimp on top.

Very polite and friendly staff. Food tasted good but sold out of a certain lager and 3 dishes on the menu. Will try again later in the year.

We had a delicious lunchtime meal of mussel chowder followed by fish and chips. It was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Next time we come to Hastings we will definitely revisit.

Excellent local restaurant. My first go too when family visits and we want to eat out.Never once have I had a bad meal or bad service in Whites, and have been going for many years now, it hits the mark all the time in terms of food, service and delivering a great night out.The food is always fresh, good portions and such a good mix of choices, fish and meat.The staff are attentive and excellent service on this visit and my guests commented how well she knew the menu when asked.Always good book in advance to guarantee a tableThanks chefs and team as always for a fantastic evening of food

Almost certainly the best value for money/quality that I've experienced this trip to the UK. The friendly staff, Tyler and Beth, took great care of us, and even as an American I was impressed by the portions. We had mussels as an appetizer and fish pie and the meat platter for mains. Both were delicious and everything tasted super fresh. Half of the meat platter came home in a doggie bag.

Highly recommended by the Hotel Manager I was staying at.Waited in line for over 30 minutes outside to be seated. The quality of food was so worth it.I went for the Surf and Turf and it didn't disappoint. Fresh cut steak and seafood served at this joint.

Too crowded and packed in. We were stuck in a little cubby hole with another table so it wasn't comfortable at all. I was adventurous and tried the goat burger which I didn't like as it turned out but that's not the restaurant's fault. My partner had fish n chips which was plain rubbish. The fish was small and not fresh and the chips were soaked in oil. We'd visited this place a couple of years ago and the food was great which is why we sought it out this time, but it seems that it's gone down hill alot since then. Maybe it's lack of competition in the area that has caused complacency and a fall in standards, I don't know, but I won't be returning and I won't recommend it to anyone else. It's a bit over priced too.

Great find on our trip to Hastings. So glad to see local fish and wines on sale. The seafood was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive... Even though it was a busy Monday. Big thanks to Beth, Lula and Tyler for making our visit so welcome.
