Inn on the Beach Restaurant in Havant

The food is good. The service is even better!We visited last week after taking the dog for a walk along the beach (well behaved dogs are welcome in both the bar/restaurant and outside seating areas). Our food was all good and of decent quality. Food arrived at our table promptly and tasted good.We enjoyed a drink outside in the garden before heading inside for our meal.The Inn had a great and lively atmosphere and was tastefully decorated with a load of nautical trinkets.Where our experience came in to its own was the superb quality of the service. From the moment we walked through the door, to when we left we were given attentive service, complete with a contagious smile and a joyous level of wit. This was the sort of service that makes you feel like you have just visited a good friend you have not seen for a long time. Plentiful check-backs for both our food and drinks which really made us feel welcome and valued.Great location, good food and excellent service. One couldn't ask for much more than that, and we were very happy to pay the discretionary service charge on our bill!Very much looking forward to returning.

To be honest the main reason for the five stars is the amazing work the staff and manager seemed to be doing whilst we were there - this place is clearly popular and they were running around trying their best to deliver the best service. A regular even got a bit angry at the bar at having to wait so long, the Manager dealt with it really professionally and even had a chat with the barman afterwards asking him to not take it personally and how he's usually a nice guy!The food was good, the wait was long and there was confusion about not being able to eat food outside (which seems to have a huge problem with little flies!), but overall we couldn't complain.It appears to be so popular that it's bookings only so I'd recommend doing this before just turning up! I think we were lucky in being able to eat at all!

Lovely friendly staff, good food and beautiful views and sunsets. Unfortunately you do have to pay for car parking.

Lovely place on the beach. Easy but cost for parking. Nice sea and coastal views. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Friendly and helpful staff, quick service. I should imagine it gets very crowded in summer

Beautiful spot... for simple drinks and nibbles, or fancy champagne and oysters.... Lovely views from the extensive decking are worth the visit alone.

After a long saunter on the beach with children, we ended up at the Inn on the Beach for much needed refreshing drinks to quench thirst. There were indoor & outdoor seating available. We sat outside & it was a pleasant experience in the spring sun looking over the sea.The staff was friendly and facilities were appropriate!

The staff were very friendly, quality of food to price asked ratio was about spot on. Avoid the coffee, their flat white was insipid...tasted like hot water with a splash of milk added.

Really nice friendly place, has great views and lovely atmosphere.Staff were helpful, food was fantastic and the place was dog friendly also.

This was a disappointing experience. I had booked this place weeks in advance and we were given the worse table. Their excuse COVID19. The restaurant upstairs is big and has beautiful views and despite me asking for a better table the young lady refused. The manager didn't bother either. And the restaurant was EMPTY. By the time we left at 8pm it was still EMPTY.The food was good, we had a selection of dishes as we were 6, chicken parfait, burrata, crispy squid, burgers, sirloin steak, etc. and desserts. The crispy squid was very good. The worse was the NY cheesecake which was not fresh at all.The service was quick but we were the only ones so no extra points.Never again.
