The service was very good and the food was excellent, the portions a little large for us but that isn't a complaint

We stopped over for a Sunday Roast after a long day in Hayling Island. The food was amazing, honestly the best Yorkshire puddings I have ever had. The staff were great and really very friendlyKatie and Paul who have recently taken over the pub are a lovely lovely couple who chatted with my family for a bit.Would definitely recommend!

I don't like leaving poor reviews, however today's experience was not great. I made a lateish lunchtime booking at the last minute. However, neither at the time of booking, nor on arrival, was I told that the kitchen closed at 2:30 pm. Thus when it came to it, we were not able to order dessert. We had to finish our meal at the Ferry Boat. The food we did get was good, but this was a rather disappointing end to the meal and put a bit of a dampener on it. It is a shame because it could have been easily dealt with by a little information sharing at the point of booking.

Under new management with a new menu. Several items from the menu out of stock. I ordered the ribs which were a bit too well done and crunchy on the outside however didn't raise as the poor girls serving probably had enough to deal with with the missing items. Waitresses and bar staff were friendly and welcoming.

New owners 2nd week in so in process of reshaping the offering . Very friendly with excellent quality real ale. Food available and table reservations possible. Good location with countryside garden

Very friendly staff who were so pleased that we 'tidied' up after us. Nice food too.

Number one place for my wife and I to eat on Hayling. Always a excellent warm welcome from Mandy, Nevil and her team. Backed up with the best food, cooked by a proper Chef. All washed down with Ales kept in perfect condition by Nevil. I recommend the Pie of the Day, with a pint of HSB. Or if its a special occasion then you can prebook from the "Special Menu", ideal for Birthdays and Anniversaries. Highly Recommended.

This is a great pub/restaurant. We booked in for four people and everything went well. The food was excellent, the beer quite good (although not quite to my taste) and the staff very helpful. Hard to criticise in any respect. It's a bit out of the way and requires someone to drive but the upside is no crowds of youngsters looking to drink lots and then go on to a nightclub. Recommended.

Interesting. V good atmosphere but busy so our food came out a little too long but food was decent.
