Shalimar in Havant

First visit last Saturday with our daughter and son-in-law (who are regulars) absolutely loved the atmosphere, staff and service and the food was the best we have had, we do not live in the area and so wish we had a restaurant like this close to us, great evening thank you

We had a great evening , staff very friendly and helpful particularly the head of house . The food was outstanding very tasty.

Very great place for dinner food is great and people are friendly. I had good time.

Popped in late for a meal, without booking, staff accommodated the 2 of us no problem. Lovely meal and not too expensive.

Had a takeaway here from last night. Food (particularly Chicken Korma) was watery and bland. Chips were like rubber and we had to bin them.Add to this a very long wait for collection, despite ordering food an hour in advance.We will not be going back. Very disappointed.

The Shalimar website offers a Valentines Day special offer (see photo screenshot taken on 15th February 2022 from their very own website). When I mentioned this offer the waiter said he had no idea as to what I was on about. So I showed him the offer from my phone. He then asked to borrow the phone to show to a manager. Minutes later he returned with some mumbo jumbo excuse that the offer was not valid. I'm actually dumbfounded as to why this lying Indian restaurant would do this, and this waiter actually made me feel as if I'd done something wrong and made me feel stupid.

Food was very disappointing the wife had a biryani it was cold and bland. I had a naga chicken very disappointing. Having said that the staff are friendly and helpful.

First time here and we had a very tasty meal indeed! Added to that is the spacious restaurant, very friendly and professional staff. Will definitely return.

First visit and very enjoyable. Great ambiance and very cosy. Extensive menu and lovely well cooked food. Excellent service from the friendly and efficient staff. Will go again.
