Went for a meal with my children and brother haven’t been for a while and what a difference staff friendly and bubbly (Katie and Sinead) very efficient and nothing was too much trouble! Brandon on the floor was very friendly and working to please all customers. Upon ordering puddings we were told it’s under new management at present time and all I can say is it clearly shows! Brilliant visit all round we will be back very soon

Went for birthday lunch with my sister Michelle. Lovely food, service and atmosphere. Went back later with my sister Tracey and was exactly the same, nice experience all round x

First let me say that the staff were brilliant, they were all smiling, chatting, helpful & seamed to enjoy a bit of banter, which went a long way to the five stars I've awarded.I visited with my brother & sister, the place was nearly full @ 1pm, mainly with families taking advantage of the kids eat free offer. I hadn't had a full English but thats only served till 12 however they have a Bug Plate Special that fits the bill which both my brother & I had. When the say Big Plate they aren't wrong the meal was huge everything even the two eggs were cooked perfectly, the sausage is enormous, delicious & neither of us finished it but got boxes to take it home, took me another 2 days to eat it! My sister had the Chicken Sizzler which was half a chicken, veg & sides, she enjoyed that too. Turned out that because we all had Big Plates on a Thursday it comes with a free starter or pudding, so we had Apple Crumble & Custards, Sticky Toffee Pudding & Custard & I had the Chocolate Cake with Ice Cream, well again we weren't expecting anything of the giant portions, took us ages to finally finish. We were all completely stuffed & happy to have chosen The Heron for our first lunch since November last year.My only comment is that my desert dish was chipped but as it was on the rim of a large dish I didn't complain, not after having such an enjoyable experience.

Great venue, warm and friendly staff, food is fantastic, fairly priced and really generous portion sizes. Family friendly too, a menu that suits an eclectic variation of pallets. I've had many visits and have never left disappointed. The team have certainly done a fantastic job in creating a wonderful and memorable experience to be had by all...would definitely recommend

The app to order didn't work because of drinks. But ordered @ bar OK & not too busy with pre lunch as we had late cooked breakfast. Sausages basic but rest lovely & juices good value @ £1.20 with food order. Toilets let down as staff good service but ladies toilets smelt of p..s ! Not good experience to finish on . . .

Went out for a drink with my wife, daughter and her boyfriend. Used the app to order drinks for us all but when the drinks were brought to our table the person serving insisted on an id check for my daughter and her bf. Apparently they now id for under 30.There was no notification up in the pub or within the app. The staff were helpful but this experience spoiled our evening out.If there was adequate notification then I wouldn't have only given one star. They need to sort their app out and have better notifications on display at the venue.

Nice but a bit over crowded felt a bit uncomfortable. Was glad when a few tables left cos of covid risk. 1st time ive eaten out in over a year. Food was nice. But wont rush out again as covid on rise and dispite having 3 jabs i feel unsafe at amount people eating in there with no gaps between tables and people eating

Average, at best. We arrived and it was busy. They asked us to wait a few minutes as a lot of tables were reserved and others dirty. We were seated quickly and ordered our food at the bar.We had some big plates as that was the Thursday deal and you could choose a free starter or desert. We had one starter and two deserts. The food came quickly, it was how you'd expect, cheap and cheerful. We waited and then asked for our table to be cleared. After 30 minutes we asked to see if our desserts were ready. After a further delay we decided we would leave the desserts. They did however arrive as we were cancelling them. The toilets were quite unpleasant. A fragrant waft hits you when you walk through the first door. My boy went into the gents to wash his hand and the smell was vile. The ladies had rolled up soggy balls of toilet roll over the sinks and were again, not the nicest and the daily checks were incomplete for that day. We arrived at 5 and none were complete. The hand sanitiser on exit from the toilets was also empty.Staff were friendly but not worth a return for us unfortunately.
