A nice old style pub right on the waters edge. Very busy but dispite that the bar service was quick and efficient. We tried ordering our food while having a nice cool drink but the phone signal was poor so the table app ordering wouldn't work well.So I went in an ordered the food the good old fashioned way. After waiting 40 minutes for the food (I was expecting a wait as it was busy). A member of staff came out and apologised for the delay in our food as there was a problem in the kitchen. We waited another 15 minutes and our food finally arrived. A burger for myself and a chicken burger for my son.My son took a bite out the burger and went "YUCK". On inspecting the burger it was burnt. The photo shows one side the other bits of chicken were worse.I went inside and and went to tell the lovely lady with a tattoo on her neck but she beat me to it and said "I will get the kitchen to do another" I politely refused as we had been over an hour. The bar staff here are very nice and polite and cannot fault them.Sadly the kitchen staff need sorting. They should be told "quality over quantity". People will wait for good food but will never return for bad rushed food. For this reason only 3 stars is given.Get the kitchen staff in order Mr manager and you would get 5 stars all the time. Or it could be down to bad management pushing the kitchen staff to much. I will let you decide that one...

Lovely location. Has outdoor seating space with shelter from the rain if needed. Very traditional pub with good food. Quite a long wait tho from ordering to getting, so probably not a good time to go if you've got appointments. Friendly staff. Tables nice and clean. Reasonable menu, about average price.

Lovely place to go to watch the sun come up

Lovely pub in a great location. Food and service were excellent. Highly recommend.

Great place with new outdoor Cider Bar (serving in Summer I hope, just covered seating currently in Winter). Good to have more outdoor space in these times. The whole place, car park, etc gets very busy at popular times.

Poor food, burger was dry and not much else with it, fish was ok but tasteless, chips and minted peas were awful, shame as is a lovely pub right on the harbour. Attentive waitress but saw staff sitting and drinking inside the pub! Not the best advert sadly

Arrived at 7.15pm for our reserved outdoor table, friendly welcome from all staff. Told quickly they were out of Sunday roasts to enable us to decide before sitting whether we'd still like to dine. We opted for a bacon burger which was cooked very well and came with a very tasty mustard sauce on the side. What a lovely location right next the sea. Pretty lights outside. The facilities were a pleasant surprise with a clean, fresh, tiled, new looking bathroom. We're looking forward to going back.

First visit to this very popular pub for a what turned out to be a very good lunch. The day was hot and sunny so we sat outside. It was really busy and the staff was busy with a smile and always loved happy to help. We ordered via the QR code and table number and drinks arrived quickly. A pint of larger with a Gin and splash arrived with the coffee I'd ordered and all for £13. Not so bad for the area. We was right on the bridge leading to Hayling Island with great views over the water. We decided to eat and ordered chicken burgers. As it turned out it was off the children menu but the size of them I wouldn't have guessed and at £6.50 with chips was very reasonably priced.Customers was in good spirits and although parking at the time of my visit was limited we squeezed in but cycling is a must should you be staying around Hayling Island.Very pleased all round.
