Fabulous meal and great service. Warm friendly greetings on arrival into a lovely old pub with great atmosphere and seating inside upstairs and outside. The waiter and waitress were engaging and fun but proffesional. The menu is not huge but to me this is a major tick as it shows they don't have loads of food sitting around and it's freshly prepared. We had a portion of garlic bread and cheese to start which was on lovely bread. For main I had gnocchi and my Husband steak both were fresh and delicious then brownie and waffles, the brownie was one of the best I have had and the waffles equally as good. We have paid more in run of the mill chain restaurant and had no where near as good food. We would highly recommend and advise booking as it was busy on a Tuesday evening. Thank you ship inn for a great evening

Great local Fuller's PH. Converted from an old grain warehouse. Really lovely ambiance and fantastic view across the water to our hotel. Food was good and the staff friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Lovely pub by the sea with friendly staff and it's nice and clean. Good selection drinks and although I didn't eat here the food that came out looked very nice. Nice views outside with undercover and open seating areas and plenty of room inside. Well worth a visit 🍻

I visited the ship with a few friends, both of whom had fish and chips. They both said it was very good. I had a beef roast, which was equally good. I was very pleasantly surprised. The only gripe I have is their lack of full sugar Pepsi - there were only reduced sugar options available.

A nice old style pub right on the waters edge. Very busy but dispite that the bar service was quick and efficient. We tried ordering our food while having a nice cool drink but the phone signal was poor so the table app ordering wouldn't work well.So I went in an ordered the food the good old fashioned way. After waiting 40 minutes for the food (I was expecting a wait as it was busy). A member of staff came out and apologised for the delay in our food as there was a problem in the kitchen. We waited another 15 minutes and our food finally arrived. A burger for myself and a chicken burger for my son.My son took a bite out the burger and went "YUCK". On inspecting the burger it was burnt. The photo shows one side the other bits of chicken were worse.I went inside and and went to tell the lovely lady with a tattoo on her neck but she beat me to it and said "I will get the kitchen to do another" I politely refused as we had been over an hour. The bar staff here are very nice and polite and cannot fault them.Sadly the kitchen staff need sorting. They should be told "quality over quantity". People will wait for good food but will never return for bad rushed food. For this reason only 3 stars is given.Get the kitchen staff in order Mr manager and you would get 5 stars all the time. Or it could be down to bad management pushing the kitchen staff to much. I will let you decide that one...

Terrible smell of urine around the whole place. Food is disgraceful. I’ve added a photo of the Chikory and goat cheese salad consisting of half chikory, 3 pieces of cucumber and a few spinach leafs with some creamy crumbles that are not goat cheese, no dressing, not oil. No ambience music just the high pitch buzz of faulty refrigerators. Wait staff is slow but doing what they can. Heavily overpriced for what is served. Honestly, where is the hospitality going and how would someone think this is ok? Mystery!!!

Lovely place to go to watch the sun come up

Lovely location. Has outdoor seating space with shelter from the rain if needed. Very traditional pub with good food. Quite a long wait tho from ordering to getting, so probably not a good time to go if you've got appointments. Friendly staff. Tables nice and clean. Reasonable menu, about average price.

Arrived at 7.15pm for our reserved outdoor table, friendly welcome from all staff. Told quickly they were out of Sunday roasts to enable us to decide before sitting whether we'd still like to dine. We opted for a bacon burger which was cooked very well and came with a very tasty mustard sauce on the side. What a lovely location right next the sea. Pretty lights outside. The facilities were a pleasant surprise with a clean, fresh, tiled, new looking bathroom. We're looking forward to going back.
