They have delicious pastries but I wasn't impressed with the lunch offer and the quality of the food they serve. Poor choice of soft drinks.

What a gem , had the meatball panini .wow . Nice and large and big in flavour . Coffee great as well . We be back soon

I absolutely love Carmela’s deli. When I’m hungry in Horsham, rather than go to one of the chain restaurants and cafes, I stop into the deli for some reasonably priced “fast food”. You can get warm lasagna or parmigiana or other Italian foods warm and ready to eat in minutes, as well as a selection of cakes, pastries, biscuits, sausage rolls and sandwiches. Then you can sit at a little table and tuck into something yummy and homemade with the smugness that you’re supporting a local business.

To be honest, I was expecting more, judging from the reviews, but the limited menu and harassed staff were not what I was looking for. The menu was paninis only. There was other food at the counter but it wasn't labelled and I felt the staff didn't have the time to go through it with me. Drinks very limited. Coffees and one tea. No soft drinks. Licensed, though. The service was quick and the food was delicious, however. I had the Aubergine Arancini, very good, and the Lemon Cannoli, recommended by a previous review. I'd never had a Cannoli before and it was lovely, very lemony, with light, crisp pastry. I saw a Meatball Panini being delivered to the next table, which looked very generous and inviting. Overall, I enjoyed the food, but probably wouldn't go again. Also, no toilets, which I thought was a requirement for sit down service? Spotted fridge of soft drinks on the way out!

Popped in on Saturday for a quick lunch - the toasted ciabatta's were absolutely delicious - so fresh and with lovely fillings. They can accommodate me having a few items removed which you only get when food is freshly prepared. Was able to get a table (previously have had take out, because the seating inside is often full). Lovely friendly staff & ambience.

In the heart of a very beautiful town you have a gem of a deli. Fresh food, wonderful pastries and a lovely shop delivers everything you need to relax and catch up with friends in the well spaced seating area. We will be coming again!

I have to say, despite a couple of the reviews on here, I visited today and the coffee was particularly nice. The star of the show was the Gelato Brioche. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

We've been living in the area for almost 4 years but I only recently discovered this beautiful gem in Horsham town centre. The owners are very attentive about COVID safety measures (mandatory use of masks and sanitising stations are available).We went on a busy and sunny Saturday afternoon and the waiter promptly cleaned and sanitised the table prior to sit. We ordered some lunch bits, coffees and some Italian sweet treats. Food and drinks were delicious and everyone working in the deli was very friendly and polite. Absolutely recommended!
